my brother just got home and said he is having a few people over for a party tonight. glad he asked me if it was cool before he did it. im planning to get real nice tonight as well. Got class in half an hour or so though.

my son broke the tip off of the jack that plugs my speakers into the back of my computer

the little tip is stuck inside the jack...i cant fish it iout..


i am freaking out....he also toasted the hard drive on my new laptop so i havnt a back up

there is a seperate panel over the usb's and the green-purple-red set of 3 jacks...there is no screws....it looks like if you stick a screwdriver in the edge it will just pop off

will it?

secondly....barring that...there is no other jack on the monitior or tower...can i get sound through a usb connection?

get a solder gun, get the tip hot with a little bit of lead on it., tap lead to the center of jack, unplug gun, hold and wait til cools.. pull.

besides...dont have sound...i may replace the monitor at the pawn shop and get one with a speaker jack

you can get sound from usb, but you need to go buy the speaker system that does that @ walmart.. cheapest one I seen 20bucks.

and jared...the monitor doesnt jave a jack..the tower plug is fucked

Oh ok well in that case you could try orisons idea on removing it. Other wise the inputs are connected to a card plugged into the pci slot on your motherboard so you'd have to open the case to your computer to remove it

 

Oh and the pic def looks cool, only cause it doesn't look real, looks like a cartoon ;p

 

i would use different colours .. slightly manlier

 

if your OS supports your usb you can.. while your at it, get a multi usb port since your going to be hogging up the one you got..
