We have those as well now, first were the hundreds, then fifties, then twenties, and recently the tens and fives have been released. They're actually pretty cool and are supposed to last a long time.

i'm getting the snow pants on and heading outside for some early morning snow clearing

 

Lot's on the ground here but none falling right now. Heading back up north in an hour or two. Hopefully the roads are better today. My uncle had a crazy wreck yesterday, I'll post up pics later. No idea how he made it out alive and with absolutely no injuries.

what route do you take?

 

He was heading up highway 6. Tractor trailer lost control and smashed him against the median.

I go 403 to 401 to the 400, then the 11 all the way into North Bay. Sometimes I take the 407 up if the roads are busy and it's worth the 7 or 8 dollars for the toll.

 

and you know the highway 27 alternate route in case 400 is ''stopped''.higway 27 turns into essa road in barrie right at the 400 overpass

 

and where the fucks glen...he made like 1 or 2 posts overnight and 1 of them was just to tell us to post more

 

Didn't know that route but I'll keep it in mind in case I ever get stuck on the 400. I was delivering hardwood to a cottage one time and got stuck on the 400 for 2.5 hours, big accident and someone died so it took a long time to clear away.

 

If there's an accident on the 400, 27 will move you, but not very fast because that's the road everyone else is taking to avoid the accident and it's only a two lane road that runs through a lot of small town 60 zones.

 

in bad weather I always took 27...you cant drive fast anyways in a blizzard so the slower zones aren't really slower than you can drive

there are other routes but not for rookies...number 5 sideroad at hollands landing will also take you into barrie and right by my brothers house on that road

sometimes I stay right in Bradford where 11 turns into 88...over to number 5 and right into barrie.....not many people take that route

 

The 11/88 is a good combo.
I suppose in a snow storm the speed doesn't matter. Just don't go taking it during a long weekend thinking one's gonna miss the highway traffic.

 

Almost ready to jump today's hoops. At least they're considering our cosigner this time. That could be a good sign.

Yesterday was a madhouse at the store and on the roads seems people get more emotional and bitchy during this time of year too ...fa la la la la la la la laaaaaaa
