I never was around a cat giving birth until that point. Even tho' I've always been around animals since I was little, I just somehow wasn't "in" on that whole birthing process. Missy even had those kittens in a little bed I set up for her. But DEAR GOD!!! I'd never even heard that about the afterbirth...but it's true. :2thumbsup:

 

its normal...i ate both my kids after birth

its a wee bit slimy but you get used to it

7 kittens so far...all dark grey or black

many animals eat the afterbirth, its purpose is nutrients, and birthing is stressful and takes a lot out of the mom. eating it is a way to get those nutrients back. also- in the wild the scent of blood is just asking for trouble.


im making tamales for the first time. i hope they come out ok.

 

Went on a tour of the university I want to go to... I really liked it. I'm excited for september.

 

i hope this weather is an indication of a good summer coming
