From all the roofer stories I have read in this thread it seems ...

roofers have to be told what to do and they never get it right the first time

no all the time....high priced roofers often have the highest bid because they do a rel job....no way buddy here could come in so low and still beprofessional....never take the way too low bid I guess lol

my roofer is 74....if we had gotten into it he could easily have stroked out or even me.....not worth it....I get boiled up enough just being here on hipforums haha

so I am out there finishing the big clean up////doing lawn and trying to decide where I should have my woodpile.....last years pile outside my front door was way too messy and ruined my lawn......may just go with the driveway and a windbreak of some kind

we used to have a pigeon problem here. women that owned this bar up the street would toss out loads of bread. eventually the church next to her filed suits because the pigeons were damaging the building.

Really it was that bad. a few the neighbor houses got owl decoys,, they also brought in falcons to take them out. this was about 10-15yrs ago. Not a single pigeon can be seen nowadays when there would be easy 30/50 birds up on those roofs..

remind me yesterday, my clothes line died. one the poles was rusty and fell with the weight of a quilt .. I first did quilt in the bathtub,, then hung it out the window while twisting the water from it. was still way heavy. scoped out an abandon yard, there is a pole , Im going to cut it and fit it inside the shell of the old one.

those are stones , not bricks. stones dont have the masonry power that bricks do. to much open space between the butter and bread..
