So tomorrow, I have to run an EEG. The only problem is that I only found out I was accepted into this lab course today. And, as it turns out, we're not allowed to bring notes into the lab.

So I'm hoping that we're at least allowed to bring the procedure with us. Unless one of you stoners can explain all of this simply enough to understand it in an hour or so, haha.

 

I saw a Monarch Butterfly yesterday afternoon while I was stopped at a red light. He was slowly crossing the street. I can't believe how rare it is these days to see them.

Still all green here, at least for the most part... The Buckeye and a few Walnuts dropped their leaves already.

 

you have black walnut trees?.....my blacks are the last to lose leaves every year....I don't have very many nuts on them............I still have some soaking since last year ....to make black dye

 

Brisk morning here, I like it though. The new Winners in town is opening tomorrow so I'm going to go hunt for a fall jacket. I've already combed through the racks at value village but couldn't find anything. Hopefully Winners has something, otherwise I might actually have to step foot in the mall...

Most are Blacks but I have English Walnut too.... Interestingly, I had an English Walnut at the old house too. They aren't very common around here, somebody planted them.

 

There's several different Hickory species here too.... I got some good trees.

Hazel nut is the native nut species here. Shade tolerant found in riparian areas locally. Douglas squirrels are major competition.

 

We have an understory tree called vine maple that turns bright red orange in late summer early fall and is quite striking surrounded by the yet green of the surrounding forest.
