It's starting to finally cool off but that's good. Nothing to cheer you up from the summer like autumn does

i just tried that cutter tool i bought from the auction..still leaks oil a bit until i can find suitable rubber to fix the reservoir seal but it still works good...the handle thread ended up being pipe threads so a new piece pipe fit in nice and easy...i was afraid it would be metric (made in sweden) but since its a rescue tool i guess they made that part easy to fix in a pinch

cuts exhaust pipe like butter ....way better than the other ways i was doing it..plus now i dont need a generator all the time to run the saw

i wonder how many accident scenes it was used on

since last post i flushed my heater core...it was loaded with crap...now i have good heat usually im lazy and wait until january and its a pain in the ass because the garden hose is froze up

also did an oil change...last one must have been last year because only 2 litres came out and it holds 5 :D

its almost at 400,000km so i really dont care about fixing it much..next time it has a major break its getting crushed and replaced

Back door is taking a long time.... Lower siding is done and sealed, it looks great. Deep dark natural redwood looks sweet! I can't do the upper section until the arbor is attached. (arbor/pergola seem to be interchangeable words these days.) A pergola stands alone, not attached. An arbor has vines or other plants growing on it and can stand alone or be attached... Those are the original meanings. This structure is neither of those but closer to an arbor... There may be hanging basket plants in the summer... Maybe morning glories at some point, but not covering it... So it's a "structure"

It's going to have glass between the 4x4's making up the "roof"... This will keep the weather off all that redwood. [IMG]

I know. Makes no sense until I get pictures... :dizzy2:

the industrial chainlink fence here turns alive in the summer...its full of vines and grows into a thick wall of green

in the winter it looks like a mess of vertical tree roots

You said somewhere something about a hummingbird saying bye today, Ty. Do they fly south, as well? Such a distance for such tiny birds.......I did not know they were birds of flying long distances.

Of course, I love all birds.....
