That is one thing about the whole "business" of psychology...people go to a psychologist or counselor or similar for help. Then all they want to do is ask you questions, and they are NEVER supposed to tell you what they think, really think...wth is that about?!?

When I used to work in a capacity that I counseled people, I can tell you that I would tell them what I thought - from time to time. :) (against rules, of course...one of the few things I never got in trouble for doing that was against rules) Not all the time, I promise you...lots of times people just want someone to sound off to, or to talk to.

Other times people honestly and truly want to hear what you (the psychologist/helper) thinks, they want to hear suggestions as to how to deal with something...not this damn bs "So how do you FEEL about this?"

There came a time I couldn't handle the psychological aspects of my job...it got to me emotionally...and my ass-hole supervisor wouldn't let me try another position where I could work with the clients but not have to only counsel.

Oddly enough, my mother (a woman well ahead of her time) actually taught me to question almost everything. Even at church (I grew up going to church) I was encouraged at home to ask questions if I didn't understand/think something fair.

I think I almost caused a riot at the Baptist church with my questions and statements when I was a teenager. lol

(Not that my mother wanted to answer these questions....she just didn't care if I asked them, and then she preferred I figure out the answer myself or with other's help. :D ha)

my family taught me well. i grew up in an agnostic family, but my mother was raised in the church. she talks about them nuns walking like penguins and says in a nice way, fucking horrible.

she got out of there senior year and never went to a reunion. I'm the same way.

i kept silent at home growing up, kept the work at the playground. father taught me that.

March Of The Penguins was a great film.

They are survival animals to the fullest.

If there was a knock at my door and i opened it and 20 penguins were there i think most people would be...uhhhhhh

    uhhhhh
    uhhhh

I'm not really drawn to penguins.

    I'm drawn to misfits, mostly.

I can get along with anybody but that doesn't mean they are my people.

    I choose my people sparingly.

They have to be people like me; people with the same dreams - longing for a perfect place to soak their soul in life's sunshine.

My people are restless people. They aren't content with all the bullshit surrounding them.

They want to have some good times with some really good people.

They'd like one constant and faithful companion to journey with so they hold on to that dream.

A perfect place, with a perfect mate, in perfect time.

We aren't alone. We're just selective.

infomercial on right now about some kind of home facelift device that uses radio frequency energy to improve skin. yes, radio frequency .. cooking your face with RF energy sounds like a great fuckin idea! why don't they just go stick their head in a microwave instead of buying that thing?

Because the microwave frequencies don't work unless the door is closed.
