"It _is_ a long tail, certainly," said Alice, looking
down with wonder at the Mouse's tail; "but why do you
call it sad?" And she kept on puzzling about it while the
Mouse was speaking, so that her idea of the tale was
    something like this:----"Fury said to
    a mouse, That
    he met in the
    house, `Let
    us both go
    to law: _I_
    will prose-
    cute _you_.--
    Come, I'll
    take no de-
    nial: We
    must have
    the trial;
    For really
    this morn-
    ing I've
    nothing
    to do.'
    Said the
    mouse to
    the cur,
    `Such a
    trial, dear
    sir. With
    no jury
    or judge,
    would
    be wast-
    ing our
    breath.'
    `I'll be
    judge,
    I'll be
    jury,'
    said
    cun-
    ning
    old
    Fury:
    `I'll
    try
    the
    whole
    cause,
    and
    con-
    demn
    you to
    death'."

I got plenty of sun on the weekend which is very unusual for me because I tend to shy away from the sun, despise the sun *shakes fists at sun*. My arms are a touch pink but I think it was probably a good thing for me and my injury getting some fresh air and VD.

Anyways.... Lower section of siding is installed on each side of the doors. Natural Redwood. (Sequoia) Still have the upper section to do and have plenty of Redwood to do that portion. Pieces next to the doors are long and that's what I was missing one piece for but I salvaged one from the tearout and flipped it over. None of the 4 pieces matched... Flipped one was weathered bare wood, one was from inside and varnished, the other two were coated with different paints. I stripped them, bleached with Oxalic acid, lightly sanded and clear UV protectant coated them. They look great... Upper section is going to look the same, color wise, but they are shorter tongue and grove boards. That section will slightly overhang the door set.

Some of the outside wood is Redwood, some is Western Red Cedar. Not the same, so not a match, and not easily salvageable. Still structurally sound but it's getting a solid color stain in two colors. Trim is dark brown and the walls a medium "Cedar" custom color. This is the only section that's going to be what the wood sections of the house used to look like back in the 50's before the Cedar section was added. Same look as the paneling in the greatroom. When I bought the place all the wood was painted with cheap latex barn paint that was probably 7-8 years old.

I have 4 Redwood 4X4 beams, 2 Cedar 4X4's from the tearout and some barnwood that's 1 1/2X10, that I'm thinking I might build an Arbor out of just outside these doors... I'm gonna lay that out tomorrow and see if it's going to work. It will look great if I can pull it off.

Before and after photo's once there's an "after"... [IMG]

That sounds incredible. I can hardly wait to see the pics.

I hope the arbor will work.

I love the look of an arbor just outside the door. I'm wanting to add one here.

I got cut open with a chainsaw once. Oddly it did not hurt as bad as you think it would. It hurt but I think the cut being so clean helped. I was cutting branches with my dad after a snow storm that broke some. I was holding the branch over a trash can and it slipped. The saw jumped up my arm and hit me a few times before it stopped. Lucky I did not get any nerve damage, I think the jacket I had on helped. It took about 20 stiches to close the main wound. I still have a scar on my wrist that I hate. People say they cannot see it, I like to believe them but sometimes I think they are just being nice.

Sometimes people don't see our imperfections until we point them out. It's probably a lot more obvious to you than anyone else.

Yeah it's not too bad since it has been several years I guess. Just a little pink if you catch it in the right light but I know it is there. I don't think of myself as too concered with my looks. I am not Brad Pitt but I am also not a gargolye but this I notice.

dirtbike rider in town ran from cops today was great. i was thinking, hell yeah!

I just left my house and was almost to the bridge and someone on the bike flew by and a cop followed 10 seconds later. He had to of been after the bike cause two cars pulled over and he just kept them sirens on.

30 seconds after that i was 1/4mile on different road towards concrete plant and he passed me still fuckin moving, (there are several ways he could loop and ditch the pig) then went around a full dump truck and trailer passing and by the time i got to the corner myself he was gone.

    :)
