When i was in school a girl got sent home for wearing a shirt that said "my two favorite buds" had a pic of a budweiser and a pot plant.

Here it was that 90's shirt of Kill your idols that did that. Also recall someone getting suspended for refusing to not wear a Cradle of filth shirt to school: it said 'dead girls don't say no'.

 

i love that cradle of filth shirt but i would be too creeped out to ever wear one.

I didn't really like that one but as an adolescent I applauded that guy's choice of course I have enjoyed early Cradle of filth albums though.

What is most astounding to me, aside from his apparent popularity with many people, is the fact that there are whole groups/families that are willing to go on national tv and listen to that jackass "Dr." Phil - who is NOT a doctor! - and air their supposedly most private problems and thoughts. GODALMIGHTY! These are people that certainly seem able to afford private counseling...but then the whole group wouldn't get their 5 minutes of tv time, or perhaps "fame", in their eyes. I sometimes hear him when I'm on the computer and the tv is going in the other room and I'm too lazy to get up and change the channel. lol Anyway, when he goes into his 6 - 7 minute spill about "listening to that was 5 minutes of my life I'll NEVER get back"...on and on and on he'll go, repeating himself...I wonder why NOBODY has ever said to him you took longer yapping and yapping than it did to listen to that LESS than 5 minute sentence. Of course, if anybody every did say that to him, I'm sure it would get edited out.

To someone who is not an American I guess I can see why you would find this jackass and his equally stupid guests somewhat entertaining, of course in a twisted way. When I think of people from other countries watching this, I find it embarrassing. :-o

To hopefully reassure you a little: we have those dumb attention whores on tv here as well. Hmm that doesn't sound too hopeful I guess. But let it be known it is not solely an american thing

edit: the unfortunate thing for americans in this regard is that your shitty tv programs get broadcasted all over the world. Other countries with a good format don't get broadcasted a lot in other countries (especially not the US as I understand), so they often just sell their format and americans make their own version of it. The netherlands actually seem to come up with a lot of these succesful formats (like Idols and The voice of... and now Utopia).

 

Meet Mr Jumbo.. On the Danny Thomas show, the child has an imaginary friend, who is 10foot tall, wears a red coat full of magical things. Psychiatrist tells the father the kid is going to far creating imaginary friends, when other kids start to believe in Mr Jumbo the parents get worried.. Mr Jumbo then makes an appearance .. he just happens to be the doorman at a building across the way.


you may not recognize Mr Jumbo as the Man in the Doorway in the Nice Dreams movie with Cheech and Chong when they chase after the chicks in the old car.. .. You want a big stick?..

 

As someone who has had his share of terrible bear experiences while working in the bush (chased off of fish, dealt with predatory bears, stumbled on carcasses, treed cubs by mistakes), shoot the fucking thing. Or if that isn't your style, have someone else shoot it.

Once they get into garbage once, they'll associate people with food and that is when they get unpredictable and dangerous and lose their fear of humans.

There are an artificially high number of black bears right now anyway (at least in British Columbia).

well actually the suspension was for standing up for free speech rights but you know how teachers like to take away rights
