Chatroom Renewed! Suggestions Wanted!

okay i notice the stoners lounge has a room and you need a password to get in.. what about an 18plus room that you'd need a password to get into?

 

Theres a stoners lounge!!! im missing so much here gunna take me a day to at least fgure this vast site out!

I know ive not been back long so i cant say much but i really dont like the flogging a dead horse smiley i now im being petty but its horrible!

 

alll the notifying of people leaving and coming is annoying as hell.

we just had our first ever spammer hit the chatroom. kinda frustrated that there is no mod so there is no way to report this spammer.

 

My suggestion is to make Boogabaah a chat MOD (if she wants to be)...she's pretty normal...well respected and is there most of the time anyways

 

yeah.. i am there.. a lot. i do understand the chatroom rules.. i always seem to be there when there is no mod and we need one.. lol

 

have you tried checking the whos online page to see if there is a supermod on? When I have real trouble with anyone beyond chat I have to do this to find someone who can handle things from the admin end... this is a fine way to report spammers, and probably what most mods and chatmods do when they see something that is outside their own forums.

Or you can send me with a pm onsite, and I can pass it along as well as hand out a chat ban when I come across them in chat... either works for me.

And if you havent seen a spammer in chat before, i will take that as a compliment - it used to be a real problem in there, esp before folks had to register before chatting. I see i shouldnt have wandered off from chat for new years! lol

 

Right-click on the name as it appears in the list to the right in the chat window... view the profile... copy the URL to that profile and PM me that link together with copied text that is pertinent.... I can take care of the rest...

 

how about trolls getting the boot if a certain percentage of the room has them on ignore?

i know it's a lot to ask.. but they always seem to come in when theres no mod there.

So ignore wasnt working? Or you just want to get them out even if other folks dont ignore them?

You can let me know who it is and I will get the troll info to someone who can do something to keep them coming back, but noone can do anything if you dont let someone know who they are. Even when I'm not in chat I am usually not far from getting a pm onsite.

Or like i said earlier, you can find a supermod online and tell them, there is just about always one on.

 

im still waiting on the PM sound.

 

I'd prefer that pop up PMs not force the cursor focus... that is HUGELY aggravating!

 

Do a screen capture and show the offending text... I'm not comfortable dealing with an issue based on hearsay.

skip and i tryed to get the PM sound going on, it dident work. theres a bug on their side. you know how that mailbox icon wasn't there before and random showed up? thats the event.private.msg so when u get a pm it plays some sound. im sure he will have the sound working once he gets in contact with them.

Actually on issue that was arised in the past is all the drug chat, we have a pretty large culture of mind alter's in the room and we often like to talk about it.
we need a drug hut.
we talk about drugs more then feet.

or lets make it even better how about a

consciousness expansion room? for a good intellectual talk. id probably chill in that room for a while.

technically speaking, drug chat isnt allowed under terms of the forum guidelines.

this could be why there is no official drug hut in chat. However I do agree the side rooms need different titles before they are effective.

 

well. its only illegal to posses drugs, and sell, and buy. but speaking of the effects and the reactions have nothing against the law. i could ask a cop for a bag of weed, but, int ill i actually buy and own one. then im not breaking the law.

As long as people arnt planning drug deals out and fallowing through with drug deals, it dosent seem to be hurting any TOS
