when you did the walkthrough i sat and tried to map out the floorplan. :) i watch a lot of urban exploration/ abandoned house walkthroughs for floorplan reasons. im a sucker for old fashioned and vintage things. i want to build new old houses. so, rustic farmhouses that are insulated, and not drafty. with outlets in appropriate places (my moms house was built in 1912, it has electrical outlets in the floor.)

houses are so cool. i love architecture and design. i dont like rules and regulations. i know WHY they have building codes, but i know that if i build a house for my family it will be so over-engineered that it will withstand all but the strongest natural disasters. i dont want my house to fall down on my family. and i dont like that "new" methods have to be proven over and over and still dont get anywhere. like cobb, or strawbale houses. or cordwood. there are places built with old techniques that still stand hundreds of years later.

I broke a showerhead spigot off inside the wall once. Fixed without ripping the wall out but what a bitch.

Some nice old barn wood came with this place... Really heavy weathering. That stuff makes some really cool furniture...

ive the back wall open, cant seem to see a bolt, might just hacksaw from the tub side.. I can get knobs off and bypass valve which is leaking., but I just want to install the surround for now. and keep the faucets for now, to get them later on ... hopefully..

i hate moving. thankfully we are in a house now, with a mortgage, so it will be a long enough time until the next move that i will finally have things pared down to what i actually need/want/use.

I start my mortgage tomorrow in my new house. =p
I've got tubs and tubs and tubs everywhere and it still doesn't look like I've done much. And I need to hide some tubs for my friends helping me move don't need to see a chest full of sex stuff XD

put all that stuff in one place, and TAPE them shut. also label them with the room they need to go into, so noone says "whats in here, where should i put this?"

just go one section at a time. hit a liquor store for boxes. especially for books. beer boxes are not too heavy when full of books.

and now that you know what your spaces will be shaped like, you can eliminate stuff that you cant picture and use in your new place.

the key to an easy move is the boxes and containers...putting things inside of other things and then putting those things inside of something else.....othing goes to the truck empty.....drawers I just removed and shipped with most of the contents still on them....don't pack blankets cause they come in handy in the truck

and don't cheap out on boxes...40 boxes the exact same size are way easier to deal with then 40 different boxes

and labelling...do not be lazy on the labelling....makes the ''in'' part way easier to send stuff to different rooms they belong in.....I brought everything on hangers into the car and just carried it all in and hung it right up in the various closets

    Only if you toss them...

If you try to sell them they will sit around for ever.

Some may be if they are classics or limited releases but then you have to sort them. Or you can sell them as a lot but that would probably be better at a garage sale as shipping would be expensive on them.

I have a bunch in a box that were the kids, a lot of Disney. I am going to wait until they move out and then dump them on them........... ;)
