If I were to actually get the motivation and time and and and...to clean up this mess of a house, which I WILL be doing soon...GODHELPME...I am a Very Wasteful Person. I can buy 3 rolls of paper towels for $1.25. 2 packs of those and 2 bottles of Windex type stuff and Awesome would get this show on the road. On top of the used paper towels there will, no doubt, be bags and bags of stuff to put in the garbage.

The Cali boys will be coming in about 2 months and its gonna take me that long to get this place even close to ready for them. mercysakes, can you look forward to something and dread the hell out of it at the same time?

I love my messy, cluttering, never-cleaning mother. I do.

We have sun and 8f degrees with some wind chill below 0. Just in from a short walk with Grace. She took care of business in record speed.

Just got a call from city parking. I had called last week to find out how long a vehicle can be parked on the street without moving before the city will do anything about it. There was a car parked in front of the building for the last 4 weeks and a Blazer parked behind it for the last two. The woman who just called said that the limit is 3 days (72 hours). Surprisingly the car went away yesterday but the Blazer is still there this morning. So I guess they have 3 days to move it out so that other people can park there.

i use mostly cloth, unless hubby is sporting his handlebar moustache, then he gets paper napkins. i use old t-shirts for a lot of things, and i have a few microfiber cloths for windows and mirrors. you really only need water if you are using microfiber. i dont use windex, i use a 50/ 50 white vinegar and water mix, and then only if i really need it.


so so much to do today. we can keep each other motivated

me too....cleaning crew today....insurance appraiser coming....someone here musta been through one of these...what does the appraiser look at?....will he say something about my 800 pound tshirt dryer taking up half my living room?

I could maybe disguise it with a colorful doyly and some flowers?

roof, foundation, structural damage .. not much more.

 

i think it depends on what they want to see. if they want to give you a hard time they will find SOMETHING that needs to be fixed. beware dogs that look like restricted breeds. peeling paint they can say "might be lead" and then theres that to deal with, even if it doesnt test positive for lead. my house had to be repainted because of peeling paint, even though the tests were negative for lead. go figure. we had to get the electrical box rewired too, it was an old federal pacific, and not worth the risk.

its supposed to be a nice 57* today, and we will be pushing 70* on thursday. im looking forward to opening up the windows.

My insurance company requested photos of the furnace, water tank, smoke detectors, locks etc.

My landlords inspector did a physical inspection of the house including structure and they came back with he had to replace the roof this spring. Most things will be up to the landlord to fix if there is anything that flags.

One advantage to renting.

 

the comic is taking longer to script than I though it would. ive some cells drawn up on paper. but its going weird. the idea is Indiana Stoned and The Temple of Lost Hippies. Ive to incorporate cheech and chong movie to somehow get that stoner flow.. sort out user names and avatars, collect more clip art..
