Did y'all know that this past Friday (I think) - it was this past week -SC and up into NC had an earthquake. It registered 4.1.

I was working and mopping at the time. An enormous plate glass window would have had to fall out of the frame and shatter in the floor for me to have really noticed. I heard something for just a quick minute, and then I thought...nah, I didn't hear anything.

Other people I know said they felt it and my son said it felt just exactly like it does (here) when the rock quarry is blasting. (He was at his best friend's house here in town at the time.) An old man at the restaurant said he thought somebody had hit the building.

i saw, this is the usgs site. use the gear to change magnitudes, date ranges, and hazard overlays. also, abovetopsecret has a fsubforum called Fragile Earth, there are running threads there about earthquakes, yellowstone, critter die-offs, etc. i also keep an eye ot for solar flares (ps, there was a big X flare the other day, not pointed at us but there is an earth-directed component. )

quakes can happen just about anywhere, be ready.

 

i had beans and hash browns , so yeah anything is possible..

 

OMG! I used to play and sing Carole King almost religiously!

I also love Carly Simon...her favorite song I still play - and yes, sing! - to this day is "Waited So Long"...about a girl that held on to her virginity "and I've already waited too long" but had quite the nice time losing it. It's sort of bluesy, low-pitched and just right!

As far as new singers - I think Adele absolutely ROCKS! :2thumbsup:

i was just thinking about that the other day. and how im glad you're here.

i put my first couple of bucks in my tattoo jar. its going to take me forever to save up, but i want to be in a position to really overpay my friend. so i puts the money in the jar.

i would love to make and sell stuff, but im really critical of my work. now and then something looks really good to me and then i dont want to part with it.

some of the old seeds i planted are sprouting. i think its the chamomile coming up first, a mysterious seed that was mixed in with the basil, and a couple of strawberry seeds. i have thyme and black sesame seed planted too.

 

sleep would be awesome, right about now.

there is no such thing as pain free sleep

i need pills to kill the pain...but doc only gives pills with caffeine so i dont take them because im sensitive to caffeine and it would keep me awake
