the farm that we pre-purchased our veggies from grows many different types/colours of carrots

As of yesterday morning, approximately 1000hrs I launched Operation Blitzem on an ant infestation i seem to have in my new house. It appears the late rain season has driven the colony from the depths to the surface to avoid flooding. So I ant sanded the entire front/back lawns as well as gassed them with insect spray, the whole yard.
Last inspection of the northern front: no movement.

I feel like i'm ready for another trip. It's been a while, I haven't had a good one in almost two years I think, the past few ended terribly. Found the switch for the original 1948 kitchen vent fan today... Works fine including the electric motor that opens the outside door in the duct with a chain when you turn on the fan. 66 years old and works like new, and now we can't make shit that lasts more than two... MONTHS!

I would imagine this setup is rebuildable, too if need be.

 

I agree things were made to last and with quality once upon a time ...

Now they are made to be replaced and re-purchased
