Yea the explosions pretty messed up, pictures are gruesome...

Got a question for you car experts out there... Whenever I'm parked and switch gears, drive, neutral, reverse, park, etc... I hear a rattling sound, sounds like two tin cans hitting against each other for some reason... I know my transmission is fucked because whenever I accelerate or slow down my car will jerk a little whiles its shifting up or down gears.. its always done that but never to bad, the tin can sound is new though... whats up with that?

Also... my car is insanely loud.. its a small 95' honda civic.. but sounds like a massive diesel truck.. when I got the car it was quite as can be, but during the past month it got a little noisey...then yesterday I had to drive quite a bit, up a lot of huge hills... Now its so loud that I can barely here the person talking in the passenger seat when i drive... its crazy.

So obviously I assumed my muffler was destroyed... But I check my muffler, and theres not a single whole in it that I can see... dafuq? Sounds only there when I accelerate too, has to be the muffler right?

home from my first day on the new job, i'm exhausted. rain in the forecast tomorrow so the boss gave me the day off, he said everyone needs a day off after their first day anyway, because you're always sore the next day haha.

i'm hoping that my arthritis won't prevent me from doing this, but i guess i'll see in the morning. for now though, beer and doobie time.

i been thinking since i start work again tomorrow morning... see driving too and from work i go past a mountain with 2 hiking trails to the top. it takes 45 minutes alone. and its got some good pitches... since im not going out of my way to get there...i should hike it everyday after work, cause i get off at 5pm or 8pm 90% of work shifts...

i should hike it cause i get stressed from work too easy...and i have hard time sleeping when im working...so this clearing my mind could really help me this summer...just leave a extra set of shoes and cloths in car for when i get off...

plus sometimes when i get off work i got crazy physical energy that needs to be calmed...same with my mind...its always racing when i get home cause i been thinking hard all day...

 

This is why its so loud? or is this why it rattles making the tin can sound?

so my muffler has nothing to do with this? I was hoping it would be that, sounds easier to fix lol..

what happens if my resinator goes? i don't even know what that is...


if the resinator goes and the pipes get more holes/rotted is the car still useable? or will it cost a ton to fix? I'm not looking to put any money into it... got it fairly cheap and it has 400k on it... not worth putting money into

 

hiking is awesome, even if it's just a gentle hike, it always helps me calm down when i'm stressed out or anxious. i have an annual pass for the conservation areas near here.

 

ortus - if it's shot, just drive it to the wreckers and they'll give you $300-500 for it.

 

i used to rollerblade ski. though about doing that again. specially on flat and coming down hills. saved so much time and good exercise..

 

you need a bunch of stuff for the exhaust. muffler might be good, but other shit isnt..

i enjoy hiking when im alone...lol people always wanna talk when hiking and i get exhausted. and i also feel like say stfu dude seriously, birds are more interesting right now...why im here...duh

plus when i go alone sometimes ill just sprint up tell im exhausted...then going down i will cut off trail and do some other shit.

 

seriously? I think I only paid like $350 to begin with anyways that'd be funny if i got it all back...

Tbh i thought the exhaust and muffler were the same things lol I really need to learn more about cars... So, its basically going to cost me more than its worth?

Should I just drive this until it breaks down, then bring it to the auto wreckers? Or should I not be driving it... I don't think its to to bad, I just don't wanna be driving on the highway then the engine like blows up in my face and I kill 50 people... lol

yeah, i like hiking alone too. smoke a joint and walk in the woods for an hour, it's awesome.

I replaced my muffler 3 times in my car, but rust got the cheap replacements...

then fe years ago i got catback full exhaust system..all stainless teal, life time warrenty...rust free, and gave me 1.5 to 2.5 miles per gallon highway
