Yeah that is a great song...rest of the album sucks though. I remember i had 2 wallflowers cd's so i traded one for that spacehog cd. I was very disapointed with the rest of that album...almost rather have a backup walflowers cd. I did have a great moment listening to that meantime song while on LSD though.

We have a fire ban every year from May 1st - Oct. 1st

If you have a fire, you better have a pack of hot dogs out when the fire dept gets there.

 

recharged my a/c today with dye load to find leak

need a condensor ...probably wont fix it because that truck has over 400,000km now and i doubt it has much life left

hubby is trying to get home on the public buses. hes not so great with directions. and of course his phone is mostly dead. hopefully he will be home before 10:30, and at least he doesnt work tomorrow. he does work monday, but we are hoping that will be worth it money wise. though how the hell hes going to make the buses on a "holiday" schedule is beyond me.

 

I don't envy you husband that, ML.

We've had a bus line in neighboring counties for many years. I've never had to ride them.

I've ridden the train to a few events downtown. That was fun.

 

it would be easier if we lived a bit further south. we are on the outskirts, so while we are very suburban sprawl, and right next to a park and ride, it is often the "last stop" and a lot of them run every hour, instead of every half hour. and on weekends and holidays, who knows? some of them dont run at all, they are basically just for people to get into town during the regular work week. the regular buses are $2.25/ one direction, express buses are $4, and usually take the highway. once you know how to navigate its not too bad, but transfers and things this far out are a huge pain in the butt. he just called from a payphone (wow) and i know where he is. the bus that would be most convenient to him made its last run today around 8pm. hes 12 long blocks south of me, worked all day, and is tired. its been raining as well, so i dont want him to walk it, but it could be walked. hes got another bus that picks up in less than 10 minutes, and will take about 15 minutes to get him the rest of the way home.

and this is why the car should be better maintained. i dont know enough about cars, but i know where to take them when they make a funny noise, and i know how to save money for repairs, and i know our mechanic for a good long time now, and he wouldnt let us drive off in an unsafe vehicle. hell, i think my dad just makes a monthly payment to them, whether or not he has work to pay off. if he doesnt yet, he probably will soon. we just need to claw out of this damn debt hole.
