Got some mail from Hugesnet today... They can't even deliver out here. Shouldn't they figure that out before spending on the postage?

Going to my sister's graduation tomorrow. She's at the top of the alphabet so it's going to be a long afternoon of names.

horizontal surfaces are hell in my house. i am lucky if i can keep one surface clear. its gotta change. but at least i can move that type of stuff on my own, game and movie cases, controllers, bills papers and magazines.
i didnt get nearly enough dishes done today. but made brussell sprouts and a pasta side for dinner. my hips hurt a lot. not even sure how to stretch a hip.

    off to bed now.

I got 2 new pillows the other week, and I'm still working on breaking them in.

I'm not going to tell how long I had the 2 pillows I retired. It might scare :yikes: some of the more faint hearted people. lol ;)

The house is still (sorta) clean ONLY because of visiting family.

My son and I will probably make bets Sunday how long it will stay that way.

The Mother thinks that horizontal surfaces are present for the sole purpose of stacking papers, vitamin bottles, white-out and paperclips...oh yeah, and for cats to lay on. :D

On the subject...it is cleanup time here at work. Every time i think "its cleanup time" when i am here, i think of the barney song. Cleanup cleanup everybody cleanup.

Well, I haven't heard that song. Something about Barney always gave me the creeps.

But if it'd help me keep this place clean, I may need to look it up and learn it.

    ha but I mean it

i used to like clean up time at work...especially with newb hires who didnt look carefully at how the the nozzles worked and they would always blast themselves with super hot water to the face

I hate when people ask me if they can eat this stuff in the fridge.. jesus, they first ask me if they can eat and then ask me again .. wasnt the first answer good enough? , why why must they bug me again,, and if thats not enough ask me a 3rd time are you sure I can eat this?

defrosting some burgers for dinner. nom nom. ill cook them inside because of the rain. should figure out a vegetable too, but our pantry is looking pretty bare. i am realizing that when i was pregnant with the twins i didnt do anything, just sat around and took it easy. now i have things i want/ need to do, and my body betrays me. i have 8-10 more weeks of this. and there is a painful spot just to the right of my belly button that the kid seems to think is fun to push against, hard. im going to need to let the doc know about that.
i have an anatomy scan the 19th, to check growth and make sure the cyst isnt causing any trouble, and a Dr appointment the 26th (which is the second doc, and ive had an appointment with the nurse practitioner. i think theres 1-2 more docs after this one that i have to meet) i need to set up an appointment with the planner too. but i think they will want to check me this week if i tell them about the pain im having. i just want to garden and get my house clean. i dont remember being in pain last time, and last time it was 2! sheesh.

just talked to a really old family friend, he called for my mom, but of course shes not here. i hope we can get him to come out here, it would be good to see him. sometimes its weird to realize you are almost a benchmark age. its been probably 20 years since ive talked to him. isnt that ridiculous!? how can i be old enough to say that? mind=blown man.

i just had steak the other day, and still im jealous. i love steak. and potatoes. but mmmmmm steak. how do you like yours? we do a little worchestershire, salt, pepper, little garlic and onion powder. and i like mine medium rare, sometimes really rare. hell, ive occasionally eaten it raw. hubby is afraid of pink meat, was raised on well done and is still learning why he never liked steak growing up, it hurt his jaw to chew it so much. he will eat rarer steak now, but i still always feel like hes suspicious of it.
meanwhile the boy is fascinated by the differences in doneness. taught him the other day how to use his finger to test the steak for levels of doneness without pokin it full of holes. i take the rarest slices in the middle, they share the slightly more done parts. and i usually save back some of the rare for lunches that get reheated, or really awesome sandwich meat for me. steak sandwich.... mmmmm.

anyway its snowing pretty good. lights are flickering a bit. really hoping the power doesnt cut out. i like to be warm.
