On the local news evening program, the sport guy ends his segment with one of the national "holidays" of that day. One day last week it was national macaroni and cheese day. He brought in a plate of macaroni and cheese for the weather man and the two news people. He often brings in something for everyone related to that day's "holiday". It is one of the funniest part of the local evening news (and I don't even like sports).

    Those holidays are annoying.

If the aliens really came down right now fuck we'd look stupid.

"They have a holiday for food dishes"
    "Zap 'em"

    We're doomed.

the safe people have given their opinion.....now me

a sturdy rope and drive slow with an experienced but stoned driver in the rear vehicle....nothing to it.....tape 2 thick couch cushions to the rear of your car in case he taps you from behind

make sure the second driver also has thick soled boots in case he has to apply flintstone brakes

He does it as a joke and they are usually pretty off the wall. It does bring some levity to the end of the news cast.

Monday I found out that my dog Grace has epilepsy. She has had three seizures this year (January, March and this past Sunday). The vet wants me to keep a journal listing dates and description of the seizures as well as what else was happening around that time to see if we can figure out what is the trigger for the seizures. Otherwise she is very healthy.

I stopped here for just one quick minute...really. ;)

I haven't finished cleaning up for the Cali boys (men) but I've gotten a lot accomplished.

Every year after I go through this - I say I'm going to keep it CLEAN ALL THE TIME...and then life and work happens.

Not counting The Mother that I have to slip and clean behind, and then when she is asleep. It is easier on So Many Levels to just let it go. :beatnik:

If it weren't for their annual visit, I most probably would do just that.

Since she didn't have any residual effects from the seizures, that is great! :)

My GraySocks was never the same after he kept seizing that awful night, which was why I had him put to sleep several days later...he couldn't even stand up for 1 whole minute unassisted. (The vet said the chances of him getting better were very slim; but, I still question if I acted too quickly.)

I'm just so glad for you that Grace (otherwise) remains healthy.

Sorry about your dog Specticals. I worked in an animal shelter for a while and saw sick animals all the time. It's hard to place them, at least your pet already has that.

I've heard tell of pulling with a short rope and a tire, instead of a bar. Never seen pushing used at high speed.

I've found a few trucks, and if I have to I'll rent a car carrier, they're cheaper than I thought.

In the mean time, previous owner said I can do "some work" in his driveway, won't be there a few days... I've begun the clutch job there. Clutch comes in monday, plan to have the transmission and all parts laid out in order (ish) in the trunk by then. Would have gotten that far today but ran into a few nasty blind bolts and such (and, it turned out to be too soft for my lifting devices, I'll be bringing some large wheels and telephone pole/railroad tie ends to set it on).

Even if I move it as planned, it's a head start, but if it goes well there I'll just finish it. (and then I still can't drive it away, it's never had a timing belt - and the top cover bolts are totally impossible to get out without totally removing the PS bracket..... brilliant engineering.).

We'll see how much of "some work" he puts up with me doing, before it becomes too much work.
