When I came in from work last evening, I went to sleep shortly afterwards...and woke up and came here (what does that say about me?!? :yikes:) and then tried to go back to sleep; but couldn't.

Now I'm awake, which I guess is a GREAT thing since I have an entire house to clean and a fridge that badly needs cleaning, and Must be done when The Mother isn't here. She will be leaving this morning to do her secretary (play at the church) thing. :)

I will not warn her that I am going to do this...when she gets back around noon it'll just be done.

She will still go a little nuts, because there may have been (a teaspoon or 2 of) something that she may have eaten...I'm sure I'll hear. :D I'm going to put her much-hated-by-me peace lilies outside today. My Christmas cactus are already out there so those awful others can go to. [IMG]

Oh yeah, and I still have coffee to drink.

Everybody and everything in this area better watch out.

    lol

So far, I've counted 80 proteins that I need to know the structure and function of for a cell biology final.

And that's not even including the metabolism section, which is about half of the class.

I can guarantee that 95% of these functions and structures will be forgotten the evening after the exam.

Write them all down. Every 30 minutes. In a list. 10 times a day.
Repetition. Repetition. Repetition. Is key for you to memory burn it. :)

Just looking at repetition, isn't it ironic just how repetitive the word "repetitive" really is? :D

E's, I's and T's strewn all over the place.

I've never. Ever. Ever. Needed Pythagoras theory in my life. Nor have I needed to know a mathematical equation with made up symbols and letters.

im more likely to use pythagorean theory than i am matrices. i hated matrices. but i like to design and build stuff when i have the supplies, so pythagoras and i are cool.

Dr office called, i passed my glucose screen, yay! that means i dont have to do the 3 hour test.
i have never really had an issue metabolizing sugar, so i didnt think i would have an issue, but its still nice to know. looking forward to the next anatomy scan, a month away. i will probably schedule the next DR appt for after that, so that they will have the new info as well. and im scheduled to see the endocrinologist june 10th. clock is ticking! which is good, because its starting to get uncomfortable to deal with. i cant be lazy and just sit around for the next 3 months. sheesh.

Yep, I will be writing a whole bunch of lists in the coming days, haha. I've been using up a whole bunch of paper recently.

Most of what you learn in school only really applies if you continue with school. And when you get to higher levels with more specific courses, a lot of what you learn only applies if you continue in that field.

And speaking of glucose, I think I am going to get me some :p

I was one of those students that exceeded in classes I was interested in but failed miserably, well not fail, but not excell in classes that held no interest.

So sport, history, geography and arts and crafts I did really well in but classes like maths and English.. Berr. And get this, the language we learned when I attended high school in Australia was.... Deutsch! :D so I didn't need to do that class, instead they tried to make me learn Indonesian. =\

I went to weekend classes to learn English as it was.

My agriculture stuff was really good but I grew up on a farm so that was easy, and as for science, well. I liked the bunson burner and test tubes. :D but I hated the theory and stuff.

Math class was a harsh time for me as well. I barely pulled through back in Grade 9 math, haha.

Learning Indonesian would have been pretty interesting. Kinda useless, but interesting I'm sure.

Science should certainly be a practical class for the most part, but it is becoming more and more theoretical. These days I've heard that some schools are even introducing virtual chemistry labs.. that is some BS.

Haha, I'm not sure, but it could be.. also looks like it could maybe be Filipino, if you had fewer repeats.

Apparently in Indonesia, the airline Qatar tends to be pronounced "****-ass" with their accent.

    Eeeee!

I might be going to Denver to watch a football game on my holiday! :)

The Cowboys and Texans are both away when in Texas so I look at the map and think you know, Denver really isn't all that far away and they have the Chiefs.

Waiting on tickets to be released.

Well, if you didn't know I liked football, or Denver Broncos then you didn't know much of me at all. :D

And no, not just football. I'm coming to meet a hero of mine and will be in the country for a good month. I may not get to meet him, but I'll at least see him as I'm touring the circuit and going to three NASCAR races as well. I'll make a scene and get to shake his hand.. I'm sure of it. >.> or I'll be arrested trying. :D

We also plan Six Flags, a zoo, I also want to go horseback riding somewhere. Food and drink. :)

A lot of people do ask why or how I got so involved in American sports but it's really just these two and the answer is simple.

They play/ed football in Europe and Germany had about 4 teams so I was already watching it and also I remember becoming a fan of the Broncos partially because I saw them play a Super Bowl that KISS performed at. Plus, Bronco/ a horse was natural for me to go for. :D

And I've always liked Motorsport because we always watched formula one with my daddy. I think it was those SEGA Daytona USA games that got me into NASCAR. I was good against those purple computer cars. :D

I also studied and went to university for Sports Medicine degree and I was working for a Rugby Union team, a local team, nothing major as injury prevention, diagnoses and treatment. It was mainly all strapping and tape and massages.

I've forgotten a lot now and when I hurt myself I always go back through my manuals etc. :)

    So, I love sports. :D
