    New chat! [IMG]

Have any of you ever seen these piece of shit notebooks/used them?

They are disgusting. I'm sitting here now taping my notes together for the hundreth time this semester. The spine is incredibly weak.
I think I've spent equal amounts of time performing surgery on my notes as I have studying them, lol.

We have had two nice days in a row. Yesterday it was warm enough that I opened the windows for a bit and changed the air in the house which I love to do. Even Lace sat on the back deck for a bit and she hates the cold and snow.

    Hoping for a trend. :)

Sweet, that is good to know. I will definitely check that out next time I need some notebooks.

I'm not too fond of the metal spiral notebooks either, they tend to get crushed and the pages are hard to turn.

That being said I'm not too surprised they are falling apart. I've filled up almost a whole 264 page notebook for each course I have. They do get pretty abused, haha.

composition books are good, but they are to small for certain things. I used to hate the top bound notepads but got to liking them ..

The spiral ones are a pain, as if you go to rip a page out, shreds of paper are the mess.....
How about the old fashioned kind.......with three spiral rings that open and close to take the pages out, if you choose to, for neatness?
Then just buy the paper when you need to.....They hold alot, as well......

I don't mind the three-pronged kind, but a folder is too small to fit all the notes I need, and binders are too big to take to class. Lots of the desks at school are just the fold-out variety. Most of them are about as wide as one sheet of paper, so the big binders are a bit of a hassle to use.

I think I'm a dying breed anyway. Mostly everyone else uses their laptop to take notes these days. Or rather they use their MacBooks to take notes. Pretty funny when you look out at a class of ~500 people and most people have a MacBook.

It's getting warmer here too, hopefully we won't revert back to the slush stage before spring comes!

I basically just put my notes in big stacks of white printer paper, in big cardboard folders like this:

and I separate the stacks of paper into sections by folding them into sideways sheets of printer paper.

I'm starting to feel like I might have to switch to notebooks though, but I just don't like writing on the left page of hardcover notesbooks, and I don't like spiral notebooks, and I don't like lines.

Screw taking notes on laptops. How can you organize your thoughts when you're restricted by computer softwares? I like to draw boxes around things and draw arrows pointing everywhere and stuff like that.

This is an awful version of a very happy song...... :) Many people complain in the comments to this video too, that this is the only version on the entire internet. WHY?????

so the school did finally acknowledge that the kiddo is gifted and talented... after the choice enrollment window was closed. im only just finding this out now. so we can keep him in his public school (boundary determined) for 4th grade, or do K-12 online for 4th grade. open enrollment window for choice schools is december 1-january 31. so we can get him into the STEM school for 5th-8th grade. i want to put someone's head through a wall. if they had just tested him earlier we could have gotten this ball rolling already. he NEEDS to be challenged in school, not stuck with morons and immature putzes. i dont know which would be better though, to keep him where he is, or pull him out to do online, its all the same common-core curriculum. i might have to call the STEM school and ask what they would prefer.

Rolling stone just said "hate speech" is an oxymoron. One of us does not know what an oxymoron is.
