Dammit. They don't want me to wear my right lens because it's slightly rubbing my graft. Not too sure if they'll get a new for before my holiday either. I'm only disappointed because it makes my pool playing harder, but then again, maybe I'll be okay to wear it minimally, just for pool training. Is what I wanted it for in the first place.

See, they give me vision and then they take it away from me. It's just really disheartening. =[

I went to the doctor today and I really went because I thought if I stayed in this house one more minute with The Mother I was going to lose control. Well, I went none too soon...come to find out I have "slight" pneumonia in the left lung. I said WHAT DO YOU MEAN I HAVE PNEUMONIA... What do you mean slight? Do I have pneumonia or not?

Since the doctor told me that and promptly walked out, I accosted the nurse with these questions. Really, when the nurse FINALLY came back in I was ready and I mean I was seriously ready for someone to answer my damn questions!

She told me that yes, I do have pneumonia; however, it is only in the beginning stages and the whole lung isn't inflamed. I'm certain her answering me didn't cause her any blood loss; but, for a minute I wondered if it was injuring her in some way. good grief

So, those few questions and 2 1/2 minutes with the doctor was $70; but, I guess it was worth it since I got some meds. Antibiotic and an inhaler. The freakin inhaler was $55, and I was told they get more expensive than that. :yikes:

I've spent too many hours in waiting rooms and it feels like every time that I'm waiting and waiting and then my names called and I'm 5 minutes in and €100 out of pocket. =\

Well I suppose I'll just wear my right contact for a couple of hours on Friday and Sunday while playing pool. Give it a rest in between and until when I get back from holidays. I've got my glasses and sun glasses anyway. Sinking feeling in my tummy though. =[

I'm think I'm just annoyed because on Friday she told me they weren't fitted correctly and a little tight. But she was going on holiday. So she never did anything so I basically wasted an appointment today for someone else to tell me the same thing. Now since she's the one organizing it, this new person doesn't really want to alter what she's already done, which gets me thinking well why didn't she try and organize something on the Friday when she already knew the problem. But the answer just too obvious... It's a Friday and she's going on holidays... =[

I might be able to stick the left in and get around like I used to, and id be more than happy to do that if it was my right eye.

I have to look at the positives. I was never going to have it fit correctly the first time, they say that never happens, but this one is close, so hopefully next time. And I'm as close as I have ever been to good vision, so with just a little more time and patience this is something I can definitely look forward to. :)

I didn't realize pneumonia attacked a certain part of the body, I was always under the impression that you were cold and needed to warm up. >.>

LOL! In my head, I have this picture I probably got from movies where someone with pneumonia is in a "plastic tent" in the hospital where they are basically freezing but have to stay under there because its supposed to help them breathe or something...dang if I know.

Apparently bronchitis is a precursor to having pneumonia. I guess what I have is what is called "walking pneumonia"...meaning that I don't need to be hospitalized. The ONLY thing the running-out-the-door doctor managed to tell me was that I MUST come back in a week if I didn't feel better. shoot...I already feel better. :)

In my email today was a very long letter from a woman in Russia wanting to meet an American male. Way wrong number, lady. Having a name that is usually bestowed on a male is finally working out for me. lol

Either the scammers are getting dumber or I'm getting smarter. I should open the attachment, right?? lol

I've already batted away the male scammers so now, they're sending in the females. It's probably the same guy.

This is what I understand about pneumonia.

It's not bad bronchitis. Bronchitis is in the bronchial tubes. Pneumonia is in the lungs.

It's very rare to be hospitalized with pneumonia anymore. My son had it twice as a toddler and was never hospitalized.

Walking Pneumonia isn't a lighter case. Walking Pneumonia is caused by a virus.

Plain old Pneumonia is caused by bacteria.

When my grandmother died she had 240 oxycodone pills in a giant coffee can. I never knew this until today. My mother was afraid she would look like a dealer and had no idea what to do with them. I told her she could have been rich. Dollar a milligram and 240 80 mg pills do the math if you can get over the whole selling a addictive poison to people thing.

The sidebar ad's in Yahoo mail got tired of posting pictures of girls for some dating site and me not clicking on them... So recently they started putting up pictures of guys. I must obviously be gay if I don't click on the girls. wtf?

BUT acute bronchitis (left untreated like mine was) can lead to pneumonia. The nurse did tell me that, as well as this is on that grand ole research engine, the internet. :) In the last 5 yrs or so everytime I catch a cold, 9 times out of 10 I wind up with bronchitis within days. (many) Years ago, when I was smoking everything possible, I was diagnosed with chronic bronchitis. However, I quit the worse of those nasty habits, moved away from there and the bronchitis gave me a rest for a number of years. Now the bronchitis seems to be back and has reared its ugly head with a vengence as often as possible.

I've even had pleurisy, but this pneumonia is a new thing. It explains why I kept feeling so dang bad.

I guess I'm just supposed to know this beginning stage pneumonia is gone when I feel better. lordhavemercy

I was given the exact same antibiotics that I'm given for bronchitis.

I know this - smoking is out for me forever. period.
