My dog does not even want to touch a piece of banana. He seems to deny it as a food source in general  Other dogs we had used to eat fallen pears in autumn until they puked... never hurt them more than that. I can imagine theres a kind of fruit they should stay away from but don't know from the top of my head.

I'm not sure if your question is related to the first sentence in your post, but yes it's a drag when that happens. Did someone less happy intrude on your euphoric state of mind? :(

your past is still part of you......people just deal with it the best way they can and keep on moving on...also best they can.......its only been a few weeks since you announced you were doing what you are doing ...

...you should be anticipating and/or expecting bumps in the road...

    good luck

Peach, plum and cherry pits are bad for dogs, as well as grapes, and moreso raisins.

Faelixx, I would try to be politely mature." I hope live is treating you well, however I am not interested."
My emotions lately are not just mixed, they are liquefied. Put her heart in the coconut, and dada dada da...

I often don't eat the last bite and when outside have tossed it in front of my dog several times. First time he at least sniffed it out of interest but after that he has plain simple been ignoring it... stuck up bastard :p

ML already said it but for stress... NO RAISINS. Just one of those small snack boxes of raisins can put a big dog down... For good. Many of the fruits already mentioned, it's the seeds than contain toxins but just stay away from them in general.

That bug probably would have been good food for him...

pees, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, patatoes sweet, corn. only food my dog will eat. those are pretty common foods tho, berries, apples no seeds> again watch sugar.),

avoid bananas to often due to the fact they are high in sugar., its ok dog have little sugar, but dont want them to become diabetic..

Hello, I'm sort of new .... became a member a while back but then had computer problems so I didn't get into the hipforums and let it rest. Recently I acquired a better computer and better internet access. I'm still fumbling around - mostly playing the games. Just wanted to say "Hi" and have enjoyed reading this chat.

As for dogs and foods, the person that said they gave their dog broccoli. You should know that although a little is good for your dog, large amounts aren't good. It's best to check what is good and bad with your vet. Onions will give dogs anemia and so too garlic and I used to feed my dogs garlic to repel fleas. They did live long lives, so I don't know what to say about that. I feed my dogs the best quality dog food I can afford and have been giving them dog vitamins too. Then they do get some people food treats in moderation. One of my dogs loves papaya and mango and bananas but the other isn't interested in any fruits. They both like the tomato ends that I cut off and will be tricks for them.

    Well, that's all for now.

Barbara eden?...so you are old too?:)

welcome here and thanks for the info

what kind of dogs do you have?

I don't have a vet...nor will I be getting one unless this dog gets sick.....and even then he'd have to be dying before i'd give in

I don't trust vets....too many people getting sucked in to thousands of dollars....this dog gets more than 200 dollars worth of sick or hurt then he goes bye bye and I buy a new dog with the money instead

only thing I might get is a rabies shot and only if its free
