Chatastrophe..

I just won the sickest race just now on the iRacing with one other female in the field named Keslie who was atrocious just saying.

So I spend lot of time yesterday 100s of laps just testing and practicing trying to find the 6 tenths I was missing versus the fast kids. Well I found it and started to do really well so I qualified first and then just before the green lights the 2nd placed person just drives off. And I'm like hey!! You jumped the start. Well I can't actually tell him that without crashing and stopping on track but I thought he'd at least give it back to me entering turn 1. Nope he didn't want a bar of that and off he went and off I followed.

So I stick 1-1.5 secs behind him just watching I was 4 tenths quicker in qualifying and I figure I'll catch this guy later just a 35 lap run. So we start to reach traffic on about lap 25 and I'm right behind him and I can physically see him over drove the entries which ruins his exits.

So I also know I gotta pass these lapped cars as he does and cannot afford to have a lapped car between us as we head down the end of the race.

So I get around him with about 10 to go, but I get on the brakes too late into T3 and he goes back around me but all good I made the pass and I'll make it again. And so I do, he's having trouble getting on the gas on this inside of the lapped cars and I'm rotating through the Centre's awesome and I get around him. A lap later he tries the same move I just pulled and I give him tons of room knowing that he's over driven every corner the last 5 laps he'll do it again to pass me. So he dives under me. I give him room and he comes up and makes contact and pushes me up a lane and I get off throttle and let him have it. 7 to go same thing. More lapped cars I get on the inside of him this time ready to return the serve.

At this stage I figure well he cheated the start and then made contact with me I don't care anymore if he comes down on me that it he's going around. So I head to the inside aggressively, we both pull off turn 2 side by side but a lap car decides to stay up near the wall. I'm telling myself don't you dare come down because I'll run right over you but he stays high, right thing to do and me and the leader are now 3 wide down the backstretch, him in the middle and I'm trying to squeeze enough room to just nail T3 well he gives me enough room and I lock it down then drift right up to the wall blocking his run and I'm in the lead 6 to go. Then he tries one more time to get me, over drives the corner and seeya later off I go to win. was such a good race I mean it was exactly how Racing should be we fought hard. Beating and banging and we didn't wreck each other. Ha!

update:

peas, carrots, beans, broccoli, corn, zucchini, chili peppers all I got going right now in the garden.. insects seem to be attackng my beans but they growing faster than the bugs can eat .. so far.

 

ive been watching "the permaculture student" on youtube. im trying to turn my yard into a food forest. i have so much stuff. but i will plant enough to lose some to the birds and bunnies. we are working on trellises for the beans, i have more than 14 varieties, vast majority of my seeds are heirloom. tomato and pepper starts are looking pretty happy, i brought their tray in so they wouldnt catch a chill. gooseberry and ground cherry too. molokai sweet potato starts (purple sweet potatoes man. PURPLE!)

just a bunch. old seeds, new seeds, ground covers, grains. its going to be cool. and we got winter squashes, so less waste from summer squashes we dont really eat much of.

wind toppled my trellises, but its ok, only had 3 or so inches of beans at the bottom. took some golf clubs cut the heads off, make nice stakes, its not going anywhere now...

 

i'm about to scout some loations I the back yard that are out of the wind for the most part.....my garlic is a foot tall above the compost.....I have25 that came up.....this fall I am goig way heavy on the garlic and I am thinking of a cash crop
