i did the same thing this spring...old shovel..broken handle

shovel handle was close to $15 ..new shovel was something like $25...

looked at new shovel head and noticed it was less than half the steel my old one had...came home with just a handle



shovel only cost me $1 at the landfill recycle place a few years ago anyway

smashed out more of my camper today...no need for sink and cupboards so out they go and more room to walk now..

have a large 4x5 door that someday i might go with my circ saw and slice the wall open to install that...then i could smash away the lousy seating area and get a couch in there instead


my camper at a friends property is kind of like a holiday place...nobody around there ..just a bit of highway noise from cars passing...the friend is fairly homebound now too so no worries of people sneaking up and surprising me (other than bears)..good place to absorb some peace

a third weed shop opened on the reserve.....so now we have ''legacy 420''....''peacemaker420'' and ''smoke on the water''

Last time I need to buy a rake I found the same problem where it was almost cheaper to buy a new rake than just the head or handle so we went to hardwood store with one of my friends, Kris and he picked up the cheapest wooden stick handle, then a really expensive metal rake head, inserted the rake into the handle then went to the youngest girl at the register and she scanned the broomstick handle and we walked out with like 20€ rake for 5€

 

garden tools suck the money out your pocket..

 

one time i picked up a case of synthetic oil...the cashier scanned the wrong code and only charged 1 bottle instead of twelve

...I broke my handle on the shovel this week too...its just getting shorter is all....when I repair it this time the handle will be about 30-36 inches in length...it started its life a s a full size shovel...this will be the third repair same handle....it snaps right at the end of the tube part where you insert the handle...same place every time

i was shoving the bit of snow this one day and my shovel handle broke .. when I went to shove .. it kept going. into the street.. I lold tho..

 

i broke one twice...it always breaks when it hits an ice chunk when shovelling the deck

third time it gets tossed because its too chinese short
