Chatablanca ..

Got a bunch more stuff from the ReStore, some on the tab, some just free stuff. Mortar, duct work and insulation, lumber cutoffs, paint (MOAR Paint!) joint compound, solid brass trac lighting... The two cans look like old spotlights. Will use them for Erin's room.

Last week I got doors for the back of the studio... Sorta "French Doors" but they don't both open as I got them, this could change with a couple of new holes and hinge mounting. Gotta re-design the whole section where these go and get rid of the hatchet job that's there now. Gonna use some of those free windows I got and the 6 foot wide double doors. Need free lumber now... This will go out to the garden from the guitar/amp room.

They finally hung that awning I painted... looks pretty good. She said "some wizard dude up in the hills did that" for her.... Didn't have a camera, so next time.

It is so warm and sunny outside, very hard to stay inside and write. I will most likely end up down at the water again this evening. I love this time of year.

My little herb garden is doing well too Lots of sun has everything growing nicely. Even the couple of herbs that I planted from seed :sifone:

 

I slept too late.

I want to back the clock up four hours.

 

thats why i love that city...they left so much property for public parks and public access to the lake

up here everything is private land except for a few places where rich people donated the waterfront land for public parks...

 

It is such a change from Burlington, I love it. You can basically just drive towards the water from anywhere in town and find public access to the lake. So much public beachfront... it really is quite unique.

 

im calling bullshit on the number of smoking related deaths too....not that i am pro-tobacco. its just that people get lung cancer whether they smoke or not. but if you smoke that automatically goes as one that could have been prevented. there is no way to know if you would have gotten cancer if you dont smoke and the proof is right there that lots of people that never smoked get cancer...including lung.

Now my neighbour is smoking weed and it is filling my apartment with that glorious smell. Today was not meant to be a productive day for me.

We did both rear brakes.
One of my cylinders had gone and that was my main problem.

Put my 'new' hood on.

Done until something goes wrong next month.
