haha, yep. only not sepia, or green. im watching the news coverage, our government folks were out on a tour of the damage, they stopped to pick people up who needed help. good on them. i did factor in proximity to water when we picked this place, and i am glad that we are close enough, but not too close. our friend's basement is molding already, they are tearing out the carpet and trying to figure out what they can do, all staying with family.

im staying in tonight, expecting more rain after all. also- im watching videos on how to build my own tools. muahahaha. im too cheap to buy the woodworking tools ive always wanted. i have a couple of treadle sewing machines, so they dont even have to be hand-crank, but i do have to make sure i can change the working parts so that the second treadle can work the sewing machine. eventually. when i buy a belt for it, lol.

 

yeah the city bylaw can over ride the provincial traffic act

roads are fine here..right down the lane like a car...even with off road tires..its weird and i thought for sure there'd be people getting killed but so far its been ok...

snowmachines have always been allowed...i always thought it was weird to be legally able to drive a skiddoo up the road but not an atv....especially since skiddooos barely have steering and brakes

 

They will probably declare a disaster in some areas...
And yah best idea is to stay in don't want to be stranded somewhere....
when you can be at home safe....

cnn is now reporting 172 people unaccounted for in boulder county, 350 in larimer county.
hubby is staying up at work, i disnt want him trying to navigate in the middle of tonights rain. clouds are coming, its getting dark in a hurry.

the search and rescue choppers just roared overhead. i went outside to watch them. they have red crosses on the bottom, i didnt know that.

Such unpredictable weather this last week. I went from having the furnace on, to no furnace, to air conditioner and back to furnace.

I think my furnace is trying to figure out if it is hot or cold or the lady upstairs is batty.

Though I have to say the really cool nights are great for sleeping. I love fresh air in the house.
