Sesame Workshop, the maker of Sesame Street, said meanwhile it was a non-partisan, non-profit organisations, and has asked that the ad, which features footage of Big Bird, be removed.
"We do not endorse candidates or participate in political campaigns," the organisation said in a statement.
"We have approved no campaign ads, and as is our general practice, have requested that the ad be taken down."

i use to live 2 houses from the train tracks... that shit would piss me off when they'd switch cars at 4-5am.. the slamming of the rail cars would cause the whole house to shake.. after awhile though i'd sleep right through it...

on another note.. my great-grandfather worked on the switch yard and was pinned between two rail cars and killed.. what a shitty way to die

I just ordered a pair of 15'' PA DJ speakers. They will give a total of 700RMS power with 1400 peak. Also getting a amp with them. I got a great deal at $300, was hard to not pass up. Yes these are for my house and computer stuff. They are about 6000% bigger than my current setup.

The only 'quake I've been in was when was living near Millington, TN for a few months back in '76. Was a 4.7, if I remember correctly. The epicenter was maybe 20 miles or so from my place. I was renting a double-wide trailer at the time. I felt it shake a bit and my mid-westerner brain thought 'damn, it must either be really windy, or someone just hit the place with a truck!' Then it shook some more & I could hear dishes rattling. I went outside & the ground was shaking. Then I understood what was happening. Pretty much everything that was supposed to be solid was moving around, which made it a bit difficult to even walk. I went back in & flipped-on the TV and it was all over every channel. Up to then, I had not been aware that earthquakes were common in that area. That was the most humbling experience with nature I've ever had. At least one can outrun a tornado or go into a shelter or basement if one sees it coming early enough. But this was completely different! Nowhere to go, nowhere to hide. I have never felt so small & powerless.

And that was just a mild 4.7. I can hardly imagine what it would be like to be in a serous 'quake.

 

Good morning at school Ahead on a project. Everything is ready for tomorrows classes. Have a job interview tomorrow after my first class. They seem to really want to hire me offered me two different positions and said to come in for the interview tomorrow.

A littttttle worried about a pre-employment drug test. I found out from a site that the company does do pre-employment urine tests. Also on another site they said they do periodic random DT, however that info was from 2004, and i suspect outdated. Working in a retail position i doubt ill get randomly DT'ed. Gonna start the flush right now though.

 

I ended up giving away free molly to pretty much anyone and everyone in my apartment last night

was a good time.
