You are right in that I do think that "kids" need to held accountable for what they do and if there is a consequence for their actions they also have to accept that.

The hard part as a parent is to see your "kid" have to learn the hard way. While it may work we would far rather they took the easier path and avoided the lesson. Does not often work out that way.

Sometimes the actual age and circumstances also are there that make it difficult to just sit back and accept it. What they should be responsible for at 16 is different than at 20.

I have always told my two that the first time they make the mistake I will help them and stand beside them, the second time they do it, they are on their own. Now hopefully I will be able to stick to that if it happens and not rush in to save them from themselves.....not sure maybe it would depend also on the incident. :)

According to folklore, the caterpillar below foretells a mild winter this year, the wider the reddish band the milder the winter.

    I cant.... [IMG]

went to the island today with boarder to visit my daughter and deliver a stove for her...she wanted me to come and fix her old one but it was way easier to just stop and get another one......i had to stop at the kids school to meet her and as i was walking up the stairs my grandson baz was walking down the stairs and when he saw me he went stunned...it was very funny..he couldnt figure out why boppa was standing in his school...my daughtyer just was elected to the board of directors of the school[waldorf] so she gets to be there quite a bit

what a nice day...kingston has the highest concentration of corrections facilities in canada...my kid is one of them...it has queens university and an army base and a massive teaching hospital...most of it right downtown where i get on the ferry to the island....tons of eye candy...i went to the golden rooster and the same gorgeous blond girl was there[4 yrs now]...still no ring...still doesnt date old guys...or even look over in their direction lol
