early morning errands....be good...back later

 

I dropped 25 pounds since last year... I don't have any weight to begin with so muscle mass is going away. Wasn't really planned...

 

last day and onto 10day vacation..

 

Heading south for the weekend to visit family. I've been driving too much lately... when I get back on Sunday I'm going to park the car and try to bike everywhere for a couple of weeks. I don't mind driving when I'm going somewhere new, but the novelty of the North Bay - Burlington drive has worn off.

It does suck that the holiday is on Tuesday this year. I have class on Monday and my wife works, so we have to come back on Sunday night. Oh well.

 

When we were on our trip, I managed to drop my american express card in to my car door, in the slot where the window comes out of. I was just fiddling with it at as the guy was pumping my gas and it fell down... finally remembered to call for a new card. Seemed easier than taking the door apart.

 

for me its easier to take the door apart than to try and figure out what the call center idiot is saying...after being on hold listening to crappy worn out muzak tapes

 

Anyone have big plans for the weekend :sunny:

lynnbrown- make some clothes. they are the very best kind of armor. whether they make you look like a lunatic or not, it makes you SO MUCH STRONGER to know that you made your clothes, and that bitch probably cant even replace a button. i added french seams and embroidery, and that asshole probably has to buy new jeans every time he splits the ass seam on his pants.

i have rainbow fleece overalls. the buttons need to be replaced, but i will do that and take a picture. i used to wear that that shit in high school. i decided i did. non. give. a. single. fuck. what anyone thought of me. and i was voted most unique in my class. and hubby got most unique guy, and i have given him crap before about it being "by association" but i cant think of anyone more unique than him. my mom says im the only person she knows who doesnt change. im the same person ive always been. ive never HAD to "find myself". {this of course makes my current situation all the more bewildering }

nope. you are only using your eyes to see. if you want to see the real beauty of the human form, you have to know it. the evolution, the structures, the chance mutations that brought us to this. the brain, our weapon. our armor. our strength in numbers. our tooth and claw and scales and fur are in our brain. we (have the ability to, though most people dont bother) know how to make the things we need from the environment, which frees the energy that may have gone to replacing scales or growing denser fur for brain growth. we learned to cook, to use fire, which made the calories in our food easier to access, so instead of wasting energy trying to digest enough calories for survival, we had a surplus.

wedding tomorrow. long day yesterday, lots of crap to do today.
who here is good at knowing what to do with hair? i really need some sort of simple updo, its supposed to be 90* tomorrow, and the wedding and reception are outdoors. i never do much with my hair, ponytail, braid, bun. it is ridiculously straight, and will not hold a curl without a lot of product help. there will likely be swimming, and i dont like my suit. and of course, hair will no doubt be a disaster after that.
so i will truss myself up in my outfit and take a picture, and will welcome your advice.


and it seems the other woman is planning to move. this will afford us an opportunity to speak with her before she goes, and then not have to worry about bumping into her. not really looking forward to it, but i am looking forward to getting to the other side of it.
