I often encourage the spirit world to join me in communication. I have some weird stories, scary stories, frightening stories... But I'm not 100% sure they will harm me..

 

Here, in the Twilight Zone, there are at least weekly occurences that defy explanation...well, logical, scientific explanation.

even at 94 yrs old, The Mother says "Weird things happen in this house". lol

On one serious note, I think people that think that the world is only composed of what they can see and logically or scientifically explain don't know squat.

 

I think that too, hehe but I also believe that those people are in fact just boring sods lacking a decent imagination =p I'll believe in almost anything that sounds credible. I love my dragons and mythological animals. I think I know better deep down that they don't exist but pfft that's just not fun.

Like Nessy in the lake, I believe because otherwise it'd just be a boring lake with no mysticism. =D but especially in Germany we have a lot of wood spirits and wights and although I only have my personal theories about them, I really do feel comfort with them at most times.

 

Well in the Twilight Zone, comfort = credibility.

Will be taking Dad shopping in a while. I get my eyes checked tomorrow morning. It is hard to believe that last year this time I was having cataract surgery.

 

I was really impressed with how efficient they are. They manage to serve 100-130 people in under two hours, and they only have about 25 seats. The food they serve is actually really good and nutritious, it was nice to see. Yesterday they served a beef stew, potatoes, and a salad. A healthier lunch than I make for myself most days.

 

ive a really bad headache and the fucking gf has one those death star alarms going off.. wtf you need an alarm for if your not getting up, and it goes off 20times. Ive a little rain alarm and it wakes me just fine. never needed a goddamn earthquake to get up!! fuck!!

Another major storm here, they are moving so fast these days and it get's so dark it's like twilight out there.

Didn't notice until this morning a few of my incandescent light bulbs blew out last night... Compact florescent bulbs are fine... Weird shyt man.

 

i watched a few minutes of the english one and couldn't do it... I just don't 'get' british comedy. I like the US one too, though.

 

Canada is banning the incandescent bulbs soon, from what I've heard.

 

I think we already have a ban on high wattage incandescent here... They may have had to push the cut off date out though.

 

A lot of elderly people here put up a big stink about the banning of incandescents. They all claim that CFLs burn out more quickly and don't work as well, blah blah. I think that they just forget when they put them in and they might not understand that a 13W CFL gives off as much light as a 60W incandescent.

Or, they just don't like change so they make up reasons for not liking it.

 

I use both, there are some lamps, antiques, that just don't work or look well with CFL. There is also the heat factor, sometimes I want that 100 watt desk lamp to produce heat, like for drying paint... can't do that with CFL.

Many times it is that they just don't like change.


CFL last much longer than incandescent...

I'm also really digging LED lights where I can use them.
