Rainy and cool this morning. I'm off to volunteer at the soup kitchen in an hour, wife is home sick today. Hopefully the rain lets up for a few mins... I only need 3 or 4 to walk over there.

thinking about trying nutmeg again. i've tried it twice i think a few years ago. never with fresh nutmegs tho, only the preground powder which isn't supposed to be as strong (cuz that's all that was available).

the first time i tried it i used nutmeg from my mom's spice rack which was like 10 years old. it had been there as long as i can remember, i guess she doesn't use that much nutmeg lol. i didn't really feel anything from that, i don't think i took enough and it was so old. i took a light dose anyway since i'd never done it before.

the second time i bought mccormicks nutmeg and took a normal light-medium dose and definitely felt something but it's hard to remember exactly what it felt like. it wasn't that good but not that bad either except it took forever to kick in.

never tried it with fresh nutmegs, i don't know how ur supposed to grind them up into powder.

;) i heard what you really want is hydroponic nutmeg, but i have never seen that before ;) hehe

for fresh nutmeg you should use a microplane

    http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/sto...classic-series-premium-zester-graters/3239944

nutmeg used to be portioned out by the head of household for the servants to cook with, a whole nutmeg would sell for so much that any servant would gladly take one, skip town, and live a fair life on the proceeds.
cinnamon was the same way. if you could afford to send 3 ships and only 1 came back, you still would have turned a tidy profit.

we used to feed the homeless every sunday when i was a kid, except easter, thanksgiving and christmas. thos big holidays are when the churches go in, bring news cameras, showing how good and godly they are, just those times of year. we made hundreds of homemade meatballs, peeled an obscene number of potatoes, made fresh lasagnas. it was awesome to be able to help. they really appreciate it, and its not hard to donate your time, even if you are just a kid being dragged along.

    im having a rough day.

don't do that unless your intention is for some old dudes[me]to picture you in the tub with bubbles and your firm breasts glistening in the water
