I over heard a guy in a store bitching about how everything comes from China... He was bitching about plates. You know, china, dinnerware... Like gees man, they invented the stuff 2000 years ago. A little late to bitch about it now.

I'd tell him he can thank American capitalism for that. Since it always seeks the highest profit margin the American companies will have things made there. In America the pay and working conditions would never be tolerated but in China they are and it comes cheap. I mean do we need nets around the factory's here to prevent suicide? But they are the next world power.

 

I'm pretty sure you missed my point entirely... But that's okay.

 

Hello. Stan's mom is still hanging on. She is in ICU still, but cannot breathe on her own....so she is still critical, but not grave, any more.....I tend to think she would pull through this one. She is such a fighter....but it is still questionable. If she can breathe on her own, then she will be out of the woods, but she cannot yet.

 

who is stan? how old is stans mom? what is going on?

 

Look towards the end of last chat thread. Stan's mom will be 97 years old in August, so I am calling her 97 already....I am optimistic..... We should all live so long!....

stan is her room mate....he registered here and popped in and said hello couple threads ago....he stays upstairs mostly.......

heading for my 5th crossing of the river today...and it will mean a 6th to come home.....3 hours total of boat time i one day
