Done with tractor mowing for today. Oww :wheelchair: Damn shyt beats me up. I might be able to move tomorrow, I might not.

'97 MTD impressed me today... First season with a new deck drive belt. Got into an area under the trees (Pine and Apple) was mowing down 6 foot tall burdock like it was nothin' and mulching it up... Now it's a secluded pine needle floored forest to chill out in. Before you couldn't even walk there. When the burdock and thistle start to come back I spot spray. I hate to spray but it's going to get those areas under control... Bunch of St. Johns Wort back there, it stays.

Compared to the 2002 Craftsman I used to have which was roughly the same tractor the MTD blows it away for that kind of work. It's better at lawns too. Metal is thicker all around than the Sears was... They got that much cheaper build in 5 years and would have cost about the same new (+ inflation the Sears would have been a little more $$$) You can't do that stuff with those fancy high dollar zero turn Lawn (only) mowers. Got the MTD last year for $300 delivered. Sears, MTD, Huskee and a bunch of other brands all come out of the same factory somewhere in southeast US. (I forget where exactly)

Still a bunch of trimming to do this weekend...

the burdoch here is maybe 2.5 feet at most...I find them easy to see the underground root if you let them grow.....you can kinda see the lines

all the sears outdoor crap here can basically be broken into 3 categories

cheap price shit is made by mtd
mid grade priced shit is made by murray and lasts a bit longer than mtd
high priced shit is generaly made by ayp and is fairly decent for non commercial use
