What's sad is mechanics do this allot to women. They assume they don't know about the car. They rarely have the guts to try this with men. Hate to say it but I think my girlfriend would fall for one or two of these.

it sucks that some jobs require special diagnostic computers..

i hate sending people to the dealer but sometimes thats the only way to get it done

 

I know just a little bit about cars because I've had boyfriends that were actually good mechanics. (When I was with them I never had to pay - in the traditional way to get my cars fixed, and fixed well.)

Anyway, this is not about that...but that I do/did know some about older cars - before the computer age cars. AND...when I'd get a mechanic to work on my car and they wouldn't do it right, and I'd take it back and ask did they check so and so or do so and so...they would get MAD AS HELL!!!

I would ALWAYS have to take the car to another mechanic since I learned after the first several times that a mechanic does NOT WANT a woman to know jack shit about what they are doing. They would TELL me I'd probably need to take my car somewhere else, which I'd usually respond in kind, saying that I had hoped their little bitty egos could take that a woman knew to check what they didn't but whatevah, I would most certainly take it to someone else.

The same jackass mechanics would NEVER do or talk to my 6'4" son like that. Once I got him to go with me to take a car back to someone that didn't fix my car and yet charged me. He fixed it with Big Boy there, no charge, no problem. lol I found it quite amusing as the mechanics there tried to befriend/talk to the boy and he would have none of it.

 

cops are looking for a kid on the island for break and enters...I know the kid and don't now what to do...cops don't have his identity

I cant rat but I also don't want him coming around here and snooping
