one of the guys is definitely a smoker, I smell it on him in the morning every time he runs out of cologne. makes sense, because he's very laid back and super friendly. really great guy, wish there was less of a language barrier because there's only so much you can communicate without being fluent in the sale language.

 

i worked with a turkish dude names Nor...he used to talk about masturbating 5-10 times a day....he said it was common in turkey that if you got a head ache you should wack a noodle to get rid of it.

I agree. Highschool is filled with the most pointless crap ever that we will never use in our life (besides math I guess, but I really suck at math) I'm pretty much the same, I have shitty grades because I just can't bring myself to give a shit. It's almost as if I refuse to partake in this useless waste of time. But at the same time I guess we need it to amount to anything "successful" in life. In my opinion all Highschool teaches us is to listen to others and not think for ourselves. "do this do that, you can't do this you can't do that, blah blah blah"

 

I'm beyond tired right now, I haven't got a full nights sleep since I had to quit smoking weed. It's been 9 days now and every single night I wake up every single second hour or so. I go to bed at 12, wake up at 1am, 3am, 5am, then again for good at 6am. It sucks. Dunno why but its happened every single night so far around the same times.

 

make sure you're going to bed at the same time and getting up at the same time every day, it'll help your body get into a better sleep pattern (or so 'they' say)

 

I need to get a little less high before I go to wal mart or target to get munchies >.<

 

We're reading Hamlet in class right now... I don't even know what's going on because the teachers to lazy to do her job so she makes random students read, and I swear some of these people must have a grade 2 reading level...

Teachers piss me off, they have the easiest job ever yet they don't even do it themselves, they make the students read to the class, they make the students mark each others tests and quizzes, and when they do teach all they do is read from a text book or show a movie, then they give us a shit load of homework (which we end up marking ourselves anyways)

Edit: lol the teacher now just came up to me to tell me to get off my phone, twice, as we're now watching a movie...

 

when i was in high school i had to take a bus to the mall and go in a book store and buy something called ''coles notes''...basically a short version of a particular book that could easily be learned for a test or rewritten into a book report etc....eventually the teachers caught on and started changing up the tests

 

Haha my teacher was actually telling us about Coles notes not to long ago! But there's this website online now called Spark Notes which is pretty much the same thing, but more convienent because it's online. I use it everytime we need to read Shakespeare lol

 

the point of getting students to read and such is so that you actually are forced to take part and learn something...

you get out of school what you put into it, and that goes for high school as well as university.

 

Reading hamlet was not fun. I would have rather read books like Catch-22, Slaughterhouse five, Night, My ishmael, even ayn rand or something. But the books in the literature course are just not interesting. Read on your own, you will learn something 10x better if it interests you.

During high school i would read my own selection of books in my English class, teacher never gave a fuck because she knew i was better off doing my own thing.

Goood Morning!

In a pretty damn good mood right now, found out there's a little extra $ coming our way at a time when I really could use it.

May is a bad month, hubby's bday at the start, mother's day, my oldest boy has his birthday..... then a few bill came too at the worst time but now I'm good. And the stress is a little less there

 

Yea but the thing is, our school is so shitty and broke that not everybody gets a book... so we can't even follow along, and half the people that read sound as if they're illiterate and the ones that aren't mumble and talk so quietly that i can't even hear. So its nearly impossible to follow along, then i have to come home and waste my own time re-reading everything online just so i can stay caught up, its ridiculous

My school is so crappy, we have no money for anything whatsoever so we get no extra events, assemblies, supplies, nothing... Because last year people thought it would be funny to pull the fire alarms every single day 2-3 times a day for at least 2 months straight, and they never caught the people so our school had to pay for it, and its like 1,000$ per call or something, so our school spent 2,000-3,000$ a day for 2 months straight pretty much.

Not to mention the teacher strike going on in BC which is making everything x10 worse than it already is, some grad year this is...
