I said 50k files to organize, without considering that I'm getting every single system and program and script file on the system, and every file I ever trashed, all without name or order.

Is 8 zeros a billion? A trillion? Whatever it is, only 6 more of that many sectors, and then I get to start pass 2.

    Very.

I had one holding my gas door for years (before I jerry-rigged the broken fitting back onto the trunk/gas cable).

Got my hard drive recovered - I have a looooooot of trash MP3s and videos and pictures that won't play, or things were it DID recover it but gave it the wrong extension, or whatever. Turned out to be 38k files, and I'll have to examine every one.

I'm hoping most of the broken ones are deleted stuff that was partially overwritten, but it's going to be a long nasty slog to find out and organize it all.

I'm dreading having to figure out which are first drafts or first cuts of stuff, that I trashed when I saved the new improved version.

Sounds like a long and repetitive job, which is the ideal job to do with some good music playing and a mild :sifone:

That's what I'm thinking - it should be okay if I've got a nice buzz, good mindset, good tunes, and all that sort of thing. No way I'm diving into it in sober silence.

Hubby's brain is okay. The MRI was negative.

Now, he weans himself off nortriptyline and sees if that takes away seizures.

If not, he has to go off some of the high gabapentin dosage.

    I love wine!

I took a wine-tasting class in college...I remember it was once a week on Tuesday nights for a semester. I remember going there and that there were 7 or 8 of us, and always at least 1 more bottle of wine (if not more) than there were us in the class.

I remember the 1st tasting (and no we did not spit a thing out. lol) of each wine, and how we are supposed to smell it/catch the "nuance and quality" or some such shit :D through the smell, watch it dribble down the glass (yeah, that's supposed to show quality I think) and maybe there was something else we were supposed to learn. The thing I remember learning most (aside from what a "forgotten" drunk night was) I generally liked the more expensive wines...no surprise there...always had that champagne taste on a beer budget.

I never remembered a single Tuesday night after that 1st tasting of each wine. :D
