about maple wood - what is called "wormy maple" makes really beautiful furniture and usually sells for a LOT. It sounds like it'd be soft or something, but its not. lol I'm almost sure out of everybody here in the sl I may be one of the last to become familiar with wormy maple.

One of the valves that goes to the washer had a split plastic part last week and it had to be replaced. The man said he'd "not charge us as much" and ONLY charged $75. I do realize that when somebody comes to your home, that is a large part of the bill. That's gotta be it because the replacement part, which he had in his box of fix-it-stuff when he came, was just a little blue round thing and it took him...oh, MAYBE 5-8 minutes to fix it. Now, it's split again...As I was washing the son's weekly load of pants I was just damnshitting thrilled to discover water ALL over the floor! :cuss:

I know it was fixed because I washed a couple of loads during the week and water did not go ALL OVER THE FLOOR. This would have been a last day or so thing. gad I heard something spraying or spitting or freaking making a noise from the back of the washer where the valves are when those pants were washing, but SHITDAMN at that point, huh...I let it finish and will finish the rest at the laudromat (YAY :banghead tomorrow.

 

inlet valve washer, for the washer? did you pay attention to what he was doing , maybe you can have them fix for free, since there should be a little warranty to that.. but if its a inlet valve, its about 30-40bucks part. if its just a washer between the hose. its probably not the washer, but the metal that hold the hose together and a washer wont help that. needs new hose..
