usually contempt/ threat. hubby and i get it all the time. i smile too much, he usually has long hair, and occasionally rocks a killer handlebar mustache. punk kids dont like smilers, or men who appear to be happy.

i have also been spit at/ on. and had someone dump beer on me at a football game. im much happier around you guys than in the general public. i hate the general public, and my tolerance for stupid is so low now that it is very difficult to keep my cool, but i react badly to confrontation now too.

 

I smile and say "tonight you"...

I am 22 and see kids younger than me do this. I am not sure why. In the past before moving to GA, where even the slightest offense will have you locked up, I would have to consider the pros and cons of going buck on someone. Who am I kidding I consider it occasionally here too, however I dont normally even go around kids a lot younger than me.

Boring day for me here. Tomorrow I make appointmen to take my car back to shop cause after a 300 bill paid in full last week, there is still a little oil drip...

Also hopefully get the news on whether I get this new job or not. Drug test should be back and because of my efforts, I am pretty hopeful I will

Also have a test to take, an important one, but is a practice one. A little cleaning to do as well. And laundry.

the united states is ugly..

 

I was told by more than one teacher in school to "wipe that stupid smile off my face" ...and I wouldn't even be the only one in the room(s) smiling! I still don't know WTH that kind of "teaching" is about; but sincere/not suck-up smiling seems to bother some adults/teachers a LOT more than others.

I've learned since as an adult that here in the south (and it sounds like it may be even be throughout the US, which is scary!) people/employers don't like it if you smile too much; but they want you to smile some. Where I work now is the 1st place I've worked where I was not lectured in one way or the other about my smiling or not smiling.

It seems a LOT of people spit...particularly young people (including young women) and men, in general. I've never had the desire to make that part of what I do. lol

 

Why Does Anybody Feel The Need To Spit At A Total Stranger....

Here In Australia When We See A Stranger,

We Exchange Smiles And Greetings, Not Bodily Fluids....

hubby is still hacking up his smoker's lung (he quit 7 years ago) so he spits, a lot. its gross. i only spit in public if its absolutely necessary, like a bug is in my throat. or something is sprayed in my face.

i just think its disrespectful, we all live on this planet, why not be pleasant. "oh, your eye contact is a threat. i must show that my loogies are grander than yours! surely that indicates the size of my penis!"

my hands are cold. I took a coworker home and she bought me lilies! and then smoked with me, We sat on the porch for a really long time, so I'm pretty much ready to shower the cold away.

 

i like daffy daffodils, and muscari and bleeding hearts the best.

most of what i know is from the north but my experience is that when someone smiles all the time, especially at work, it annoys the coworkers because its kind of like..."why are you so happy? you shouldnt be happy when the rest of us are miserable."
i get that actually, i mean if someone smiles every time something good happens no matter how small then that is good. but if they smile when you tell them to clean the toilets then i will likely not like that person.
of course the bosses love it because it makes the customers feel more welcome.

 

glen they don't spit at you....they look you right in the eye and then spit on the ground...its a blatant sign of 'fuck you''....it doesn't happen often...


good morning...whiteout here....can barely see the trees on my property...my fire went right out last night...

Woke up later than expecte which is ok, the heater upstairs is at a nice 68 right now lol idk who cranked it before I woke up but good job. Going to shower, dress, and eat breakfast in a few. I'm determined to make today a positive day! Here's hoping I can get my car in teh shop asap today and inally get the probelem resolved I'm hoping bot to have to pay anymore. As I paid 300 last week, we will see though. Be back a little later to check on you guys!
