yes...many many times....2 of sisters are dedicated pressers....also known as a bodem...which is a trade name for good quality presses........we've had debates about the best methods

I personally use this but I put regular dark roast in it as opposed to espresso bean

nope, I just use a regular drip coffee maker. i'm afraid if i try something fancier i'll like it too much and become even more of a coffee snob.

I have a bodum press travel mug but i've only ever used it for tea, not coffee. Actually, I don't use it at all anymore because the tea gets really bitter when you leave the leaves in, lol.

the press is 3 minutes sitting minimum....my sisters leave it up to 10 minutes.....my espresso is on my desk in a mug in less than 3 minutes...including washing out from the day before grinds

fancy restaurant waiter told us that you pour the coffee in after the water is in the press...we didn't believe her

Thats what I was watching on YouTube about the presses they said if you leave the coffee or tea in it for too long it will become bitter...you have to pour it into another container

And three minutes that's not as long as I thought it would take ...

I find it does get bitter really fast. Best to make it and do not let it sit too long when using a press. Unless you want the caffeine kick. :)

fun fact: dark roast coffee has less caffeine than medium or light (light has the most)

it's the exact opposite of what i had always assumed
