just got my new discover card and it says on the paper that the card is glued to "thank you for being a customer for 13 years" damn it seems like only yesterday that every card there is was turning me down except for discover. now that i have good credit those same fucks wont leave me alone.

 

My own bank keeps calling me and trying to sell me things... I'm already your customer, wtf! I told them that the next time I get a call, I'm going to switch banks.

 

I received my first mc card in 20 years last year.....it came in the mail on the day before xmas......do you think they were hoping I would rack it up over the holidays?

anyway.yours truly missed the ferry.....it was full and I was second from the front....motherfucker......2 or 3 shorter cars and I woulda made it.

so i'm now at the pub getting bacon and eggs...the coffee clun is here.

the coffee club is a bunch of long time islanders.....mostly farmers....they gather here every norning....the farmers sit on one side of the pub....there is 11 of them here now....

their wives sit together in a hen session on the opposite side of the pub....there is 6 of them here now

the coffee club is my last circle on the island that I have to infiltrate......it is also the hardest one

hurt my back moving this wooden shelf I found on the street.. I could build a house with all the book cases and tv stands people throw away. I thought this fucker was pressed wood. but it turned out to be solid oak and my stupid gloves slipped picking it up and I tried to get it from falling and oh snap, my back. nothing a 10mg oc and a Soma couldnt fix. but still kinda sore..

Good morning all! I got a full 7 hours of sleep last night. I can't remember the last time that happened. I feel bright eyed, bushy tailed, and ready to attack this day!

 

i hate when i throw out my back, hope it loosens up for you orison.

the nasa website has the good picture of saturn (the one taken from the shadow) and you can zoom in to see earth. the moons of saturn are pretty cool too. we are so tiny.

i had a cup of tea, now have to start laundry and dishes. if the boy doesnt get in trouble today we will be making ornaments tonight. woo hoo.

 

its funny how tiny but how huge we really are..

when other people talk of god, and the feeling it gives them to love or worship or pray, i think about the small and yet big feeling i get when considering the universe. we ARE a speck of dust in a sunbeam, and that sunbeam comes from just one of so many stars in our galaxy, and beyond our galaxy is the rest of the universe, and who knows what else? we understand so much for our size, and also so little. voyager 1 is in interstellar space. it took 36 years, and it is not moving slow! we are tiny. everything we do is impressive and tiny. it baffles me that we cant live in peace. we are so small and insignificant, its not actually worth fighting over. we could be in space now. we could have population-supportive space stations (who hasnt sat and designed a space station?) but we arent. because we fight over this speck of dust. its so stupid.

we are. and that is great. and its ok to not know, or to put a name to that big/ small feeling if it makes it easier to grasp. its a mixed feeling. but its ok. i love when big science happens.
