Charmed 2018

Ok, I'm hooked, would have had to have been totally shite for me not to be hooked, but it's not.

Is actually pretty funny "A demon dog just tried to eat my hair extensions"

I groaned when I heard the word "cismale" within the first 5 mins of the very first episode though. The third sister Macy looks like she's 30 and I don't think any of them are pretty enough (ducks objects getting thrown)

But it's funny and I feel warm and fuzzy that Charmed is back in regularly downloaded programming. Now I just need a Dawson's Creek reboot

 

I didn't like it much the first time.
I won't be watching.

 

It's called "pretty much every teen show ever".

Not a fan of reboots.
Maybe I'd watch an episode of Roswell reboot though.

 

That needed a reboot even before it finished.

Minus the guy that looked like he was about to burst out crying all the time

 

I’ve been wanting to see this and wondered if it’s good. I’ll give it a try.

 

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm going to check it out, if for no other reason that in the 90s I loved the OG series.

Yeah its like only 2 episodes in, I'm not going to give up after just 2 eps

And it was funny, funnier than the original series although the original never intended to be

 

Because one is a lesbian? Its ok, you dont have to say it out loud.

Watched the 2nd ep tonight, full tonsil hockey with her wesbian life partner and bondage jokes.

Then the younger sister, dont know old she is supposed to be, but she has a bad day, so shags a guy, then dumps him....so basically act like a guy would.

Progressive, and female empowerment yada yada, and yet somehow the message still ends up being one should be a slut.

2nd ep was still a good story, but there was a lot of stuff that just wasnt necessary. You never saw Piper just grind on a guy because she was in a mood

 

Yeah, don't put words in my mouth.
Like I said, I didn't like Charmed the first time, so yeah...no point.

 

Wait...wait...Charmed was the shit back in the day. Now they've added lesbians???

Pretty much the equivalent of adding cinnamon to a chile recipie

I’m almost embarrassed to say it but I enjoyed the original series with Piper, Phoebe, Prue, and eventually Paige Matthews (played by Rose McGowan)
Leo was the perfect White Lighter, and Cole Turner (Belthazor) was the perfect half Human / Half Demon.


The only two actors I thought that were miscast were Dorian Gregory who played Lt. Darryl Morris (a complete stiff) and Drew Fuller who played Chris Halliwell (who was insufferable)

 

Why would you be embarrassed? There's far worse stuff you seem to enjoy watching.
