Another thing to remember on Indigenous Peoples' Day today. The native Americans were very nice to us when we came here. Pocahontas and her father Chief Powhatan had their tribe give the Jamestown settlers maize and other food on a tray when they saw they were starving.

Some people think educated, enlightened people were typically more kind and non-violent than native, so-called primitive people. But no. Sometimes the educated, enlightened elite are the real savages in history.
