I keep seeing calls for a ceasefire , What I don't get is why no calls for a release of the hostages? all these protests against Israel mostly from anti semites ( not all) and yet the first step to an obvious ceasefire is a release of hostages.
Hard to release anyone safely while being bombarded constantly. One Hamas spokesman did say they would release all the hostages if they stop bombing Gaza. He said that weeks ago. Israel says release the hostages first. But really, Israel wants to destroy Hamas, not negotiate with them. I read today that one Hamas leader is blaming a last minute change of plans by other leaders. The original plan was just to kill a few Israeli soldiers and kidnap a few more. But the change told the Hamas terrorists to kill and steal and do whatever they could get away with.
