Pedophilia is probably due to a structural defect in the brain, probably present since birth. Molesting children is a choice, and people who do that should definitely be punished. But most people with pedophilic ideation never act upon them. It's hard to tell much about those people, or even how many people do, because it's not like they're going admit to even those thoughts. There has been much more research done on the topic though. Especially since like 2002. Thoughts?
