Cat Trapped in Bldg across road; renter/owner a-holes

My experience/observation is that most specialized interest/activist groups are in the business of exploiting an issue that is widely recognized for the purpose of generating donations and not helping a situation so I would respectfully beg to differ that their intentions are good... I'd wager that any "attempts" would in reality constitute charades more than honest efforts. You went the route that would yield the best results. Well done.

 

Some places, to be sure. But not always, for example there's a very good local humane society here, and even they might look cold to some, but they put everything they have into doing what they can... Until recently they where on the founders private property, until they finially raised the money for a real building and property.

Just sayin, there's assholes in every nook and cranny of life, but it doesn't apply to everyone in a do-good enterprise, some really ARE doing good.

Perhaps they are disproportionately drawn to this area or perhaps I'm just more prone to noting the bad examples. I've seen way too much scandal and abuse/misappropriation of authority/resources on too regular of a basis to avoid concluding that to some degree corruption is systemic in any situation that places people in charge of anything and rewards them with any measure of power and wealth for it. Eventually just about all of us will lose sight of the ideal in favor of the bait.

Perhaps if I were to break this decades-long immersion into antisocial suburban purgatory I'd find my deepening cynicism with humanity begin to fade. There have been refreshing exceptions along the way- I have my small circle of friends here but most of the people I encounter seem conditioned to only value money and choose to project nothing of value in terms of who they are. The behavior of the renter in this situation as related in the op evoked images of the many conscience-less assholes who make very evident the depraved states of character they have cultivated by how they behave around total strangers when afforded the degree of anonymity enjoyed behind the wheel of a moving vehicle.

Amazing how some brandish three to six thousand pound rolling substitute ego motorized battering rams when they place a higher premium on their frantic rush than on other peoples existence. It's very much as though people are looking at one another as being disposable... and concerns about things like the welfare of a trapped cat are forcibly disregarded.

It's good that there are exceptions to this- their scarcity adds to their value.

What kind of details y'all want to know? I'd had her back about 8 hrs by time of that pic...she'd already begun to plump back up (thanks to salmon) and be normal!

I'm grinning as I think of how evil renter ain't never seen the likes of my own Moses, and didn't have even an idea that Moses's wife would be there too...not quite as tall as the (tennis) Williams sisters...but like that.

Me thinks evil's wife might have had special plans for me, since prior to this final episode she had not involved herself in this...only nobody was counting on Moses having an equally formidable wife, also to stand for BB (and me) in this last episode.

Hooray for happy outcomes

 

I was across the road in our own yard (finding myself going down on my knees)...after evil opened the door, Moses went in (those must have been part of the "arrangements" lol ) first and he said he was expecting a half-wild cat since she had been trapped up since before Christmas.
As Moses entered that building - with evil's mouth stilled and not there (hahahaha) behind Moses, BB was just right there, Moses said....she came right to him, and when he knelt down she just jumped on up in his arms. He said he felt something when that happened.

Moses walked outside, with BB in his arms, and all was cool until BB saw evil's wife, which is when she jumped down...but Moses's wife had a can of food and was drawing her over there - as I'm hearing evil's wife shout..."She's out..now it's getting away". I'm in my driveway, seeing it was BB and like lightning I'm down the drive, across (in front of a car, no less ) the road and over to that yard, towels in hand. It took a minute, but I had her...

Then BB got down (wasn't clutching her tightly enough I guess), and of course STOPS about a foot in the road (lol - gotta laugh)...but hey, I KNEW all was fine cause I just quickly and quietly was talking to her, grabbed her foolish butt up, clutched her to my chest as I ran like a house afire across the yard and down into the basement...

where she is happily living.

This stupid evil man and his wife said to tell me to expect a bill for milk on that cement floor (or some such ridiculousness)...and yada yada....Moses and his wife and I laughed about how even at the end, and I had the cat, that evil a-hole (and his wife, too, apparently) couldn't even act right...saying how they both HATED CATS, that they BETTER NOT see that or any of my cats and bla bla.... whatever. I also know this - for all his bravado, evil does NOT want the likes of Moses to have to come his way again.

I hope that stupid-a DOES send me a bill for "spoilt" milk (he's so stupid, he can't even talk right and I've been sending pitcher after pitcher of water under that door for BB - not milk, not any milk for 2 weeks...this has been going on for more than 2 weeks!) or whatever else he can come up with...

I have my BB back now and I sooo welcome anything he thinks he can throw my way - and I will send it back and advise him to take me to small claims court where we can let a Real Judge (not the stupid animal control "officials", where I had become a joke) hear all of this and see what he thinks.

By this point, I have a lot of documentation and r/l witnesses that even his slick lies would not over-ride in court.

 

Well, scratcho, my mother (the house ruler) REFUSED to allow any publicity, and truly I shun it too...because really you were/are exactly right - I think he is quite capable of shooting someone(s), and going on rampages, etc.
Like the supposedly "shady" young dude that recently shot up the ppl at Safeway, trying to kill the congresswoman. (And by "shady", he seemed to be a perfectly regular young dude.) Like that...but since I am a woman and in SC, NOBODY would (or will) pay me any attention...unless I get the opportunity from this ass and he takes me to court. :2thumbsup:

But no, there is no Peta - closest "chapter" was way up in NY (lol)...I'm here in SC...no SPCA, per se...they tie all that up here in this county with Animal Control, Abuse and Neglect...like I said, a good ole crappy connected knotty ball. The city and county are TOTALLY SEPARATE - they tell you that like oh, 100 times, and Nobody will act for any reason, apparently outside their city, county or whatthehellever in this place.

Yes, it is unreal but its true...probably true for many parts of Georgia, too.

I mean, even if they won't admit it, somewhere, SOMEONE is responsible.... They just don't like to let anyone know until they're charging you with a crime because you're not inbred with their family line

 

I am so relieved to see that the BB is home. I think that cat picked a winning new home to go to.

Yes, this nightmare turned spiritual journey ended with a wonderful, happy ending. BB continues to be a miracle...from her sweet disposition to her beautiful shiny coat.
