i used to work in the coin room in one, back in the day when they did. and yah, there's really not much point in casinos for me without being able to use them to get rid of accumulated small change and occasionally get some back. the whole thing with plastic in and plastic out just seems, well the only point would be if the games had any real point to them.
some of the casinos have buffettes and other good places to eat, and where i live they're the only hotels available for medium sized conventions, neither of which happen for me more then once or twice a year. the whole money thing, is nice if you have it, but its not so much what anything is about that people con each other into.

 

I have to agree with you. Part of the thrill of the one arm bandits was hearing that ka-ching noise of the coins dropping into the metal tray, scooping out your booty and getting your hands black from all the coins, putting them in the bucket and smoking a cigarette using your black nasty fingers to your lips as you drag on it looking around for another winning machine to drop those coins in.
