Meezie brought 3 kittens out to the food bowl. They are about 3 weeks old. They are all dark colored but she is Siamese with gorgeous blue eyes.
    Who wants a kitten?

I'm dropping in here, AFTER the full moon has come and gone...with No Kittens here.

I feel like a fool and like I am going crazy.

How in the hell did I get this wrong???

I do not think Princess is pregnant.

When the brother comes, I am certain that we will be getting these crazy cats seen by vets and find out the answer to this mystery.

Tips came back from whatever sick poisonous thing was in him. Salmon juice and boiled chicken with a bit of water and olive oil did the trick for him.

    He is something else.

Princess is subject to just reach out and smack at him pretty seriously if he gets too close when she doesn't like it.

He backs up and looks at her like...oh my wth is happening

I am just fucking sick at heart as I type this. This morning the Cali boys and I took Tips and Princess to the vet for shots and overall check-ups.

The good news is Princess is even more perfect than I thought - between 2 and 3 yrs old AND SHE HAS A SCAR FROM BEING SPAYED.

Mr. Tips's temp was 104...and I knew he was feeling better!!! They did a couple of tests and not only did the vet estimate him being 13 to 15 yrs old but also he had feline leukemia and I forgot what else actually since the 104 temp, his age and the fel leuk was basically a death sentence. The other test she can't run (while alive) but he had all the symptoms. There comes a time I have to think of the animal and question do I want to love him a little while longer as I let him get sicker and sicker until he gets Princess sick and he dies? The vet was very nice but also very realistic at how #1 - how old he was, #2 - he was in an end stage of feline leukemia, she thought, and #3 - his temp! She was an older and nice lady and had enough spine and sense to be honest and realistic about euthanizing him. I appreciated her and her honest advise as well as the compassion she showed.

When I looked at how Tips had gotten better, I began thinking about terribly sick he had been. I couldn't help but think of how he could easily get sick again and infect others (Princess specifically)...so, I just had to be glad I had brought a can of his favorite salmon puree and we got the time together we had.

    Damn

Coon Tail brought home her litter. I thought they were the same age as Meezie's but they look a little smaller/younger. There are 3 of them.

One of Coon Tail's kittens has the most striking face. It's jet black on the right side and tortoise shell on the left side. It divides straight down the middle. One kitten is white with black markings. The other is calico.

I got a better look. This kitten's whole nose is black, so that's the dividing line. It also has black on the chin of the gold side. It looks more like it's wearing a 1/4 gold mask on the upper one side.

    I didn't know a chimera was a thing. I can't wait to get a better look!

We had a stray come up that had it's face in opposite 1/4's. We had to have her put down after she had been here a month because she had feline leukemia.

    Random thought -

Why are they called "fur balls". They don't look like balls.

They should be called "fur turds".

Meezie has weaned her 3 kittens.

I have to find somewhere that will take them in.

Remember all the crying I did a few weeks ago because I'd trapped Mystic and couldn't bear to take her to be put down?

I had to have her put down this evening.

The neighbor told me she was on the side of his house and couldn't walk. I don't know what was wrong with her. She may have been hit by a car, attacked by a dog, bitten by a snake, or even might have had rabies. I don't know. Her eyes were bouncing and she had lost the use of her back legs. She was hell to catch but the neighbor, hubby, and I finally did.

The neighbor also had one kitten crying in the bed of his junk truck. It was likely Mystic's kitten. I dug it out of the truck bed and took it over to Coon Tail so she could nurse it with her litter. Hopefully, that goes well for the little baby.

The vet gave me the Good Samaritan rate for bringing in an injured animal that wasn't my pet.

We waited about 20 minutes for them to return my carrier. When they brought the carrier out I was in the restroom. Hubby said they made no comment as to what might have been wrong with poor Mystic.

Hubby did notice a bit of faint blood on Mystic. I didn't. I was so busy holding her by the tail until he could get the carrier over to us.

I hope Coon Tail takes good care of that kitten. I really don't know what cat left it stuck in that truck. I told the neighbor to let me know if he hears anymore of them crying around his place.

so very sorry about that Aeri.

I agree it sounds like a car was involved, or she had a major seizure.

And now you are taking care of her babies.

Goddess bless you and your home.

The little kitten isn't feeling so well today. He's very sleepy and not waking to eat. When I wake him he takes a little but never fully wakes up like he should. I'm worried about him.

    And

Trouble is missing. He's about a year and a half old. We just started letting him outside last week. Today when we went to run an errand he wasn't around so we left him out. He still hasn't come home. I'm worried about him too.

    I hate hearing that, Aeri.

Maybe the kitty is really tired from his day at the ball park yesterday and he'll back to normal tomorrow. Hopefully tomorrow will also see Trouble back.
