Here are the before and after pics of Lucky, the former dumpster kitten. Look what a little love and a warm wash cloth will do in less than 24 hours!
Here is my little Willow aka Willy. He is the only one of the 6 kittens, from back in May, that survived.
Little Lucky just left for a pet rescue. They will finish getting him well and then adopt him out to a good home. I cried. My heart is too big and my house is too small.
I got Louie and Ozzy neutered today! I have 10 indoor cats fixed. The kitten, Willow, isn't fixed yet and I don't know if Mabon will ever be able to undergo the surgery; other than those two the house cats are done! In August I will start trapping the ferals and taking them to be fixed. I can only afford one female or two males a month. The female bill comes to $74 and two males was $100. I'll get them done, slowly but surely. The Winter will be a great time to catch up because the don't breed then.
Collar Kitty is a female. She started bring around a darkly striped kitten this weekend. Now, she's lying in the carport nursing it. It looks to be about the age of Willow aka Willy. Edit - This is Squirrely Baby, female.
Uh Oh... Polka had two kittens a few days ago. She left them out for me to find this morning. I put them in a box so they wouldn't crawl off and get lost in the yard/woods. That cat better take those kittens back! She's right here at the house, ignoring them.
I've had a few queens during the years that have done that, Aeri...that don't want to take care of their kittens, and will seem to easily and even HAPPILY ignore their kittens. Its is a freakin nightmare.
My grandson found where the mother had the other kittens so we stuck these 2 back in there. Hopefully, she will keep them. Edit - These are the new pumpkin patch kids and Gray Baby.
There are feral cats here... But they are true feral and totally wild. I have no idea how many generations wild but nobody is ever going to get near them.
My offer still stands. I'll ship you some of mine. You can walk around and feed this semi-ferals. You just can't touch them.
Two of the female cats are gone. Polka and Runt-Runt were Baby Kitty's sister from another litter. Runt-Runt disappeared 4 - 6 weeks ago and Polka disappeared a week ago. Polka left her two latest litters here in the carport. Two that were born in April and 4 that were born in August. At least this last litter was eating solid food before she disappeared. I did get to pet her two days in a row before she went away. She'd never been touched by a human before. April litter was Baby Sister and Moo Moo August litter was TJ, DJ, Baby Fluffily, and Baby Gray Baby.
I took Willow to be neutered last week; and one of the outdoor kittens, Little Sister to be spayed. A few minutes ago my daughter returned home one of the kittens that Mystic had last summer. His name is Bane. He is fluffy, solid white, and deaf. My daughter is moving after Christmas and cannot take him with her. Now, I have 13 kitties in my house. Outdoor kitties, I have 10 of.
Or when the white cats have 2 different colored eyes (also sort of common) the ear on the blue eye side is often deaf. I've had several solid white cats. I never decided to choose them, I was chosen for them. Whoever is doing the choosing...I've gone to solid black now. OR they are black and white.
This is Bane. His eyes are gold. His cousin, Danger Mouse is a very light Flame Tip with blue/pink eyes. He is not deaf. Here he is in a baby picture.
