China does still have a pretty strongly opressive government.

But I am completly obsessed with Chinese culture. I'm not going to go on about Jet Li in this thread, cause I couldn't do the mans brilliance justice.

But China will become a major trading power, and to effect them in a positive way, we have to be willing to understand what theyve been through the past 150 years, and their still subjected to a strongly militant and isolationist government.

China suffered probably greater then any European country in WW2, and there wasn't a marshall plan for them, then got subjected to Maoism, and the great leap forward.

They've recovered pretty well all things considered.

and yes, they are going to become a huge world power. and the us will become less of one.

Yeah, they will be a world power, but the US probably won't become less of a superpower, as much as China will become a superpower.

Unless we elect Nader, then I suggest we just surrender right now.
