Someone has to be at the bottom for someone to be on the top or else society would be classless.

And stop working, face it, a surgeon is not going to work for the same pay as a janitor.

I wouldn't want my surgeon paid the same as a janitor..what would be the Inicitive(sp?) to do good? surely not the money!

  5. For about 18 years I was middle class. Now that im not really dependent on my parents i'm lower class out of personal choice.

As long as you're not a slave to materialism or excessive security its not so bad. After all, whats the point of life?

And madcap...what a surgeon receives in an anarchistic, and/or perhaps communistic society is not reward through monetary wealth, but through community, natural social security and personal freedom. Again, what is the point of life?

Capitalism is the political equivalent of kindergarten. Anarchism is responsible adulthood. The day we're able to look past the myth that we're pathetic children who need our hands held is a good day.

    i'm just poor

  7. Of course not the money...humans don't need money to do good. They need money to keep them from doing good. ;)

Think about it...if excessive wealth wasn't involved the sociopathic pharmaceutical industry would fall to shit and doctors would actually pull their heads together to fix global issues.

  8. Yep............the capitalist myths...

We need monetary "incentive" to work hard [IMG]

Oh and this one is GREAT!!! -

Everyone in capitalism has a chance to become wealthy [IMG]

and this one is my favourite -

Humans are naturally greedy and competitive and this has nothing to do with the fact that under capitalism we're forced to compete [IMG]

Yep........you're all SOOOOOO smart. No wonder the United States in such a fantastic condition. REALLY!!! giving freedom to the super wealthy and removing it from the working class makes sooooo much sense. It isn't tyrrany at all!!!! [IMG]

Ok. so take out a student loan. repayable upon graduation. Get a higher paying job. and then don't worry about it.

Again. its called education. Hell work yourself through school like me. No loans or scholarships. I work two jobs..about 55 hours a week. My waiting job pulls in about 700 a month, and my night audit job pulls in about 400 a month. 280 of this goes to rent...another 100 to bills. Because I sold my car, insurance and gas are no longer an issue. 150 a month towards food and I am still left with more than 500 dollars a month. 400 a month goes into my saving account, while the rest is spent on books and other items. Thats 400 a month during school....8 months. Thats 3,200 towards school. during the summer I am able to save up even more towards school. about 800 a month for four months....totalling up to 6,400 dollars...just enough to pay for school. Dont tell me its not possible to budget, work hard, and increase your class....because I will tell you that your full of shit.

    I can't start school untill August ;)

Also keep in mind the school I'm going to is in a Agriculture Town and its gets about 90-100 degrees during the summer, Walking around town isn't the wisest choice now is it? Also I currently work 3rd shift. Highschool + Colloge means not very many 2nd shift jobs to compliment my thirdshift and School at the same time.

I never said it wasn't possible, never said i wasn't planning on colloge. Simply said at the current time there is no where but up :)

Well I can't say I particularly dislike it. But regardless of my feelings towards it, I really feel communism fits much better in that statement. :D

You go from the working class to the middle class though education, correct. You go from middle class to ruling class by taking advantage of poor people (exploiting them). I call them the ruling class because they have a major influence on the government. One of the many problems with Capitalism is competition. With Competition, you have to exploit your workers at least as much as you competition does. You have to be able to pay out as much or more money to your investors, otherwise the greedy investors (well, some of them are greedy) will invest elsewhere, and you'll have no money to run your business.

The other way to become part of the "ruling class" is to inherit a bunch of money or land.

America, the land of equal opprotunity, opprotunity to exploit everyone else. Historically (and even today still) Capitalism has used race, gender, and anything else it could use to oppress those people (keep them in the working class, or as slaves, which is why racism developed here in the U.S., because it was profitable) to exploit them.

Your born into a class, and if your born at the bottom you can move up with education (assuming your lucky enough to go to a good Highschool and you have some other luck and determination) to the middle class. The middle class can then get into business and exploit their way into the ruling class (not everybody can do this though). There are many problems though (so many I can't begin to talk about them all).

In some cases, people are kept down even though they are smarter and work harder than people at the top (well, in many cases).

I simply belive in merit, at this moment in time Money seems to be what people desire. I one day hope to Write/Direct a high grossing Horror Movie would I want money for my effort? Sure would.

Do you realize what would happen if Anarchy was suddenly implmented? Chaos, disorder, money would have no vaule...Kind of like the Great Depression.

It would have to be over the course of years and years.....Or humainty would suddenly have to make it to a level of higher understanding....At the moment, and in the future most likely Money = Incitive. I don't want a Surgen making 15 a hr when my life is on the line. If materailstic greed is what drives him to do a good job, so be it my life is saved.

Money isn't the issue its the greed behind it. let say money has no value in our society but it does in other societies....We are now ready to destroy world hunger! yay....but we don't have no montary vaule! How are we going to feed/travle around the world to destroy world hunger?

Money isn't the problem, its the greed.

Show humanity how to live with out greed and money will be no problem.

Take out money and what then? A classess society or a bunch of pissed off aristocrats?

You can't look into the deep if its a shallow pool.

The subsitute money for love,happiness,self-worth because they want all those things but Greed stops them. So instead of long lasting joy they desier instant gratfcation.
